Did Mayweather actually just say Canelo should duck elite prime fighters?

Did I read what Floyd said correctly? He says don't rush Canelo he just beat a HOF, albeit shot HOF and now he deserves to sit on his cash cow status and fight bums? Why not wait until GGG has faded for 5 years ala Pacquiao?

This is infuriating as a fan that we have to listen to garbage like that.

Is it possible to have less of a sack?

Maywathers protecting his own legacy. Canelo keeps himrelevent if canelo gets beaten to a pull by GGG his no longer relevant and people will then say GGG was willing to fight floyd at 154 floyd was ducking. Floyd just wants to protect his legacy

This is the same Floyd who thinks GGG should step up to 168 and face ward without any tune ups. Thus would kill two birds with one stone for floyd, GGG might lose and no one would say he ducked GGG and it would also protect canelo from GGG

This is also the same may weather who thibks its unfair that boxing wants ward to move up to 175 (even though he can't make 168 anymore) and eventually face kovalev after many tune ups lmfao.

Floyd's words are motivated by wanting to preserves his legacy

It just makes complete sense no one in there right minds would hold these contradicting views on ward canelo and GGG unless there bias and in this case Floyd's trying to protect his legacy

He's saying make as much money for as little risk as possible, just like he did. It is annoying and it's not how the sport should work but it's the way it does work like it or not.

Maybe Mayweather wants to keep Canelo without any more defeats and as marketable as possible so that he can come out of retirement for a super-fight when his bank balance is running low.

Really though, it's just words and you can only read so much to them.

But Floyd was older than Pacquiao unlike Canelo vs GGG. And no one was screaming that Pac was faded before the fight. He was gonna clean Mayweather's clock with perpetual motion:lol: according to the experts until he got schooled and then the excuses started flying like always

Well that's right we shouldn't be surprised. But I'm shocked that Mayweather has so little shame for duckers.

From looking at it, it seems like Mayweather is just telling Canelo to stay on his already current pace and take a softer touch or stay busy fight before another big fight. How is that different from what he's already doing

In between Trout,Mayweather,Lara,& Cotto you have softer fights vs Angulo & Kirkland, every GGG opponent is a Angulo level fighters so I don't see the big deal.
Ppl are gonna hate because it's Mayweather all I can say is this PBF has more big time title fights than anyone you can name, and his weakest opponent in a decade Berto is better than GGGs whole resume so there is a validity to his point.

Most new champs are allowed one voluntary defense before having to take on mandatory obligations anyway, so it would still be par the course.

GGG superfans won't agree because he hasn't had one big fight yet so he has less leeway for a soft touch, Canelo consistently fights actual top fighters an easy defense sandwiched between two big matches is nothing.

What are you on about stiverne wasn't aloud have a voluntary defence , the IBF didn't allow fury to have a voluntary defense even when it was a rematch against wlad!
