Floyd wasn't figuring Hatton out ... he systematically broke him down to where he had nothing then knock him out ... that takes alot more from a fight than just getting knocked out.

Floyd laid the blue print out for Hatton ... it had nothing to do with what game plan roach came up with ... when they watched fight film of Hatton they watched the Mayweather fight.

i watched the fight between floyd and hatton recently hatton was landing and was competitive for the first 6 rounds. he was not getting outclassed untill he lost his head due to the deduction.

its a theme in these forums that when a fighter is competitive it most certainly means that they were the better version than the one that the other guy demolishes. styles makes fights. pac fights which means the ending will most of the time be dramatic and eyecatching, this does not mean he fought a lesser version of a fighter.

Did Mayweather beat a better version of Dela Hoya and Hatton? Dela Hoya yes, but he was only weight drained and was already shot before Mayweather fought him.
Hatton, I must say that Pac fought a physically better Hatton but Hatton used the same style.

65/35 in Pac's favor is laughable.
60/40 or 55/45 is acceptable, not because Pac is the current #1, its because Pacquiao is bigger draw than Mayweather. Mayweather has alot of American fans but Pacquiao has more fans around the world excluding his fans in America; Pacquiao still has more fans than Mayweather.

Manny's fans in the Philippines don't bring in any PPV revenue for the fight. Most people don't even have plumbing much less a TV. Mayweather is the guy that will be selling the PPV.

I'm not trying to bait, this is a legit question: Why do you feel that Hatton was physically better at 140 after being knocked out than at 147? Does Hatton actually physically get worse moving up in weight, or did he just run into two superior fighters in Collazo and Mayweather?

Like it's been said before from some good posters... DLH??? Definitely, Hatton? I would say no. Same version, but Ricky fought at the weight he feels most comfortable at. However, this does not indicate Pac beats Mayweather.

Why do you guys always equate any legit questions about Pac's career
    as "hating"..

The thread question sounds legit to me and is something any real boxing fan would have to consider when determening an objective opinion on the overall ATG status of these two guys(or for that matter any boxer).

Isn't it obvious that it downgrades someone's win? Does any ******* or Pacfan said that hoya was not the hoya they know when Floyd fought him, or Hatton wasn't the Hatton that they used to know when Floyd fought him?

Do we need Captain Obvious here?

DLH was live - he was coming off a devastating knockout of Ricardo Mayorga in which he knocked him out very fast and more brutal than even Tito.

I tend to think that Hatton having problems fighting at welterweight is a myth. Some people use it as an excuse for Ricky's loss to Mayweather, but the truth is that Floyd is small for a welterweight. It's not like he came to fight weighing 160 pounds.

Pacquioao has never faced a black fighter ... especially a slick boxer type ... I think that Nate Campbell will beat Pacquiao
