Did Mayweather conciously avoid high stamina fighters?

If floyd was afraid of high stamina he wouldn't have fought hatton.

and dont give me that 147 bull****. All floyd did was give the fat brit 7 less pounds to cut.

No, what people are saying is that he was this nightmare proposition h2h for him based on styles and that was always just a myth based on wishful thinking more than educated analysis.

Styles make fights, but there's a certain skill-set that's needed, too. Margo didn't have the timing, the jab or the feinting ability to consistently draw a fighter like Mayweather into his kind of fight. In 2007, this probably looks an awful lot like Mayweather-Sosa II.

Well yes it was based completely on styles. I think we can all agree that a 2007 Margarito would be far and away the toughest, meanest, baddest, strongest, highest stamina fighter Floyd ever fought.

Wishful thinking from naysayers. It comes with being one of the best.

Would anybody here consider Carl Froch skilled??? I doubt it. Yet how did he have such an impressive career?

Being a rough rider can take you a long way in the fight game.

How did he do against Ward? A one-armed Ward at that.

I don't agree with that. He would be the largest, and that is about it. (and only until The World Awaits midway into 2007. Margarito isn't bigger than Oscar - or if so, only marginally)

Froch would box Margarito's socks off if you shrunk him to size (or blew up Margarito)

Clottey and Williams were just as strong as Margarito.

Cotto had a pretty rock solid chin. Margarito was such a tank that all he did was pretty much jog over to Cotto and then Cotto decided to take a knee and just call it a day.

Probably one of the more epic things I've seen in boxing.

Cotto took a knee because Margarito hit him with plaster.

No he took a knee because he thought "Are you ****ing kidding me, he's still coming".

Cotto's punch resistance gets underrated but Mayweather has a much better chin and is far more difficult to hit cleanly.
