IMO with the way the fight turned out, with Ortiz getting KO'ed after throwing headbutts, Mayweather has forever ruined Ortiz, he will always be know as the mentally weak fighter, that found a way out by headbutting simply because he wasn't landing any powerful blows, even though he was applying effective aggressiveness. After being caught doing illegal blows he then became apoligetic, clearly showing he wasn't built for that life, and not a true warrior, and out of his element, can you imagine Hopkins apologizing after headbutts, or Cotto or Tito apologizing for low blows, Ortiz then proceeds to get Knocked out in the most converterversial form ever, considering who Mayweather was, fail to get up, smiling like me when I first lost my virginity, then goes to shake eveyone from team Mayweather hands and laughing it up with them like they were long lost friends, while not complaining about a sucker punch and demanded a rematch in the ring. Ortiz can never live this down IMO and this fight will continue to haunt him like 100x worse than the Maidiana fight.

Watching the face off between Mayweather and Ortiz it was almost scary how prophetic Mayweather was, to him telling him make a mistake and you will pay, to alluding to Ortiz making the mistake around the 4th round, Mayweather truly destroyed this kid, I'm not sure if he will be able to recover.

Did yall think Mayweather ruined and destroyed Ortiz, like he said?

Can Ortiz recover after this loss?

lol, surely not another fighter Floyd ruined?... and another leftover?

Ortiz will be ok. With his style he wasn't ever going to stay as a champ for long anyway. He'll possibly never live the down the label of being mentally weak, seems like he doesn't care anymore. Being with GBP, he'll get as many title shots as he pleases, and I could see him beating that hype job Berto again and he'd be champ within 6 months.

Hard to tell if he ruined Ortiz, but he sure did ruin what would have been a good fight.
