wait he was crying because of Larry Merchant? Hmmm :patsch

How about crying because you have positioned yourself into the biggest PPV fight ever after a lifetime of dedicating yourself to the sport of boxing?

Also Mayweather is smart for minimizing risks all while easily outpointing 99% of your opponents. A smart fighter isnt one who takes unnecessary punishment on a consistent basis....:rofl

He did not move a lot vs Hatton, the majority of that fight was fought on the inside. Mayweather would only move backwards to reset or to sucker Hatton into the check left hook that he landed every round of the fight.

Floyd landed nearly twice as many jabs as Cotto. Cottos jab accept for moments in round 6 and 8 was largely ineffective and rendered completely useless in the championship rounds.

    Oh yeah KO6 Pac ***.

Mayweather easily outboxed Cotto in the middle of the ring, it wasnt even competitive other than an occasional jab landed by Cotto. Mayweather being on the ropes allowed him to conserve energy and cause Cotto to exert energy by loading up punches while he was on the ropes. Cotto was easy to hit at every point of the fight in every part of the ring.

Cotto never landed more than 12 punches in any round of the fight. :nono Also Mayweather threw more total punches, jabs and power shots. All Cotto did was be aggressive and physical, Mayweather dominated that fight.

he actually was sick that week of the fight and days before the fight, go look at the videos of him with the media during that week. Also even with Mayweather being sick and moving up in weight, he beat Cotto 10 rounds to 2.....

He said it was a choice, it wasn't. He is getting older and Cotto is skilled enough to know how to deal with a boxer.

he simply doesnt have to move as much because of the fighter....why box that way when you dont have to spend that amount of energy?

If he fights a good pressure fighter who is relentless and closes the distance properly and constantly with some haste...you will see more movement.

I actualy thought Ortiz had him moving quite abit.

Precisely :good, why would Mayweather move against a 1 dimensional Cotto?

He moved vs Ortiz because Ortiz cant fight from the outside so he wanted to move in close to get opportunities to land shots. Floyds movement nullified any of Ortiz's opportunities and Ortiz got picked apart because he couldnt figure out how to deal with Mayweathers movement. IMHO

I hate Floyd and many other boxers. But, I like to think when it comes to opinion I try to be pretty fair.

My opinion? I think he is slowing down a little bit. Cotto came forward and applied pressure and had some success. Cotto also took a good beating in some of those rounds and was not seriously hurt until the last round.

In short it was a combination of Floyd slowing down a little and Cotto pushing hard. Great fight and probably one of Floyd's best wins.

Mayweather was extremely active in the fight from the first rd on. Makes me feel that he went into the fight wanting to be that active.

If you think about it Cotto lost to Margarito and Pac do to there overwhelming activity so Mayweather probably took up that blueprint.
