Since when has Floyd Mayweather been a stick and move fighter..?

Did he fight like that against Oscar De La Hoya..? No.

PBF had a point to prove in that fight. He got sick and tired of people saying he was scared of Cotto and would run from him. So he stood in front of Cotto and beat him up. His legs aren't what they used to be but you saw in the 12th round he still moved well when he needed to.

There's a lot of valid points in this thread, and it's exactly the debate my brother and I had months after the fight. I truly believe Mayweather fought Cotto's fight to prove a point. I never tried to discredit Cotto's performance in he fight, it's just that there were moments in the fight when Mayweather boxed, and it looked effortless how easy it was to hit Cotto, and other moments during the fight he seemed more than comfortable to fight off the ropes, which demonstrated to me his ring generalship.

I'm really looking forward to his fight against Guerrero, because like Cotto, I think Guerrero has the ability to bring out the best current Mayweather, and if the late great Emmanuel Stewart, and ATG Roberto Duran believe Guerrero will give Mayweather one of his toughest test as a pro, who am I to argue with them. (Duran actually picked Guerrero to win, and likened this fight to his first fight with Leonard).
