Remember after the first fight with Maidana,

    Floyd Mayweather:

''I gave the fans what they wanted to see, they paid for the PPV''

Giving Floyd's fans what they want to see is a low bar to clear. Seeing him walk to the ring is enough for some of them.

Actually since moving up in weight, his entrances are better than his fights.
He is a safety first boxer and now his PPV numbers are dropping and is not in that ''1 million'' mark.

His PPV numbers for the Maidana rematch will be around 780 K, I wouldnt even be surprised if it's lower either.

  5. When he stayed in the pocket and on the ropes they called him shot. He danced the night away and people hate his guts. He could have engaged more but now he threw away two fights for money.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is a ATG but he no longer likes boxing. He does it just for money and when you do it just for the cash, you lose because your heart ain't in it. He'll probably get knocked down his next fight.

If the fans wanted a competitive fight, they got one in the first fight. Remember he said that was the plan? Now, I don't believe him, but still. Technically, everything he said at face value regarding the entertainment value of the Maidana fights going in seems true. He said if they ever rematched, the fight would be totally different and that he would outbox him from the outside.

CATCHweather promised a KO and didn't deliver! How can you be going for the KO in the rematch if all he was doing was grabbing and running?

I think, in fairness to Floyd, that neither party gave the fans what they wanted to see on this one. In the first fight Maidana at least made a case for himself and made Floyd quasi-uncomfortable with his workrate for the first half of the fight(and still had a pretty high workrate down the stretch). This fight Maidana tried from the jump to apply his version of "intelligent pressure" which played right into Floyd's hands, and Maidana never shifted gears. He was talking about throwing 100 punches per round in every round and going to the body more on All-Access, he didn't come close to throwing that number in any round, much less 12, and barely went to the body at all. That's on Maidana.

On Floyd's end, obviously handicapping Maidana again with the gloves was bad from the start, though at least Maidana had time to get used to them this time. And his strategy of more movement(which he should have done in fight one), and clinching Maidana whenever Maidana got close(for which he received no warnings despite doing it repeatedly and getting mega-fast breaks from Bayless), was smart strategy, though not entertaining and questionable from a legal standpoint. But the run job in the 12th round was terrible. At least show some pretense of fighting your opponent.

Floyd is who he is. He's not going to change his style no matter what words come out of his mouth. He's an incredibly skilled fighter but safety-first in all things.

Does he ever give the fans what they want? Like Wlad, Floyd is into self preservation not mixing it up for an exciting fight. Smart, just not very exciting. At least we get to see him slipping, blocking and parrying punches. Thats much better the a guy on guy hugfest.

Looks as if Void's PPV is going down hill fast. All Void did was hold and Void's referee allowed him to so such. Void believes that Pac would hurt him and Void would not fight Martinez at 150 nor Golovkin at 154, do not forget that Void claims to be a 154 champion, but he will not fight at that weight, so strip him of that title ASAP.

What about his promise of a knock out?

Floyd is a genius but calling himself TBE is laughable,Sugar Ray Leonard wouldnt have been content with playing it safe and coasting to a points win,Sweet pea would have opened up with combos, the true greats would have stopped Maidana or atleast have beat him up..

Atleast Mayweather should have showcased his skills and try to slug it once in a while instead of pot shotting and then having Maidana on a head lock.
