:good Hatton's style at the time was just tailor made for Floyd's style. Hatton was effective in not allowing floyd to do what he normally does and that's keep distance and pot shot the entire night!
What I thought was interesting about the fight was not only that Floyd outboxed him (which I expected) but there were moments when he outbrawled him as well.
That muh fu(ka dont know what he talkin bout...Hatton was schooled...Floyd put on a clinic with a nice ending..He countered Hatton all night and landed straight right hand leads all the time...he fought him great on the inside and great on the outside...nobody had ever done that to Hatton...Hatton was losing on points too! haha these haters that love ricky and margo and all that just find any way to hate on him
Being competitive for the first half pretty much nullifies any chance of a schooling. Although the fanboys, as expected, think it was.
You can't see the difference between a beating fighters for every second from round 1 to the end (Joe C and Hops to Lacy and Pavlik) and Floyd's fight w/ Hatton, which ONLY became a schooling after 6-7 rounds? You're not very observant.
It doesnt matter WHEN, you still said it yourself. I feel Hatton started getting schooled in the 6th, but I still voted yes
I'll say yes . . . the mere fact that PBF dictated the tempo of the fight . . . . I'll consider that "schooling". The fact is . . . Hatton was completely taken out of his fight plan.
He won 2 rounds............................................. And that is just being ****ing courteous. You have to ask yourself something ....Did Hatton learn anything? Yes the **** he did. More importantly, did he learn his weakness? Yes he did. Did he accept the fact he has to work on things to actually defeat the man. Its not the better man won bull****. He got ****ing schooled and his flaws were exposed completely. He was dominated inside and outside. All he did was rush Floyd to avoid the inevitable. If you hire your opponents father to LEARN new tricks and how to beat Floyd...you got ****ing schooled. Unlike Bhop and Calzaghe. Hatton got knocked the **** out dramatically in the end. Class dismissed.
Like I said.....Given how Hatton fights it's hard for casual or less informed boxing fans to see what Mayweather was doing in there. It was a messy fight...point blank. And that was part of Hattons plan....Hatton just couldn't execute his offense effectively given the level of skill Mayweather had over him. Hatton was the aggressor and sometimes fans see that as the fighter who is winning. Case in point Toney Vs Jirov.
