Yeah it was a schooling how many clean shots did Hatton hit PBF with? PBF beat Hatton at his own game was toying with him from the 6th round on and stopped him in spectacular fashion if that's not a schooling I don't know what the **** is.:deal
Calzaghe's beating of Lacy and Hopkins beating of Pavlik are more convincing "schoolings" in my book.
Exactly and it was beautiful to watch he was baiting Hatton to come in wild and reckless so he could catch him.:yep PBF put on a masterclass in that fight.
They were both schoolings but not on a grand stage like PBF-Hatton. That "check hook" into the turnbuckle will be a highlight played for decades.
Mayweather never lost control of that fight. He even beat Hatton on the inside and in the clinch to the point that Hatton complained about Mayweathers tactics in the clinch I was rooting for Hatton up until the night of the fight, but after those classless pieces of **** booed our National Anthem, I admit I was going for Floyd and there was not one point in the fight where I had even the slightest feeling that Floyd would lose. Honestly. Floyd was the faster, MUCH more skilled, stronger and just out and out better fighter in there and it showed.
It wasn't a schooling, but the class divide was clearly evident from the point deduction onward. Up to then it was competitive. Not like Hopkins-Pavlik or Calzaghe-Lacy, where the loser lost every second of every round.
Lets put it this way. Hatton failed to implement his gameplan. Hatton began to get badly beaten in the fight before it ended. Hatton got knocked out bad, and had his head bounced off the turnbuckle and then layed out flat on the star in the ring. You can make an argument for him not being "schooled" but the dude certainly got "OWNED" :deal I think the most telling thing about this fight, much like Hopkins/Pavlik and Calzaghe/Lacy is that there is nothing the Hatton fans can take from this fight and reasonably think that Hatton can possibly win a rematch. It was made crystal clear that barring a freak punch Hatton can not beat Floyd Mayweather. I believe this was a schooling. I think Floyd came in there and beat Hatton from the outside later in the fight, but he also showed that he can fight Hatton on the inside too. He did better work on the inside and was more effective then Hatton in the clinch and close quarters. Also he set up that knockout. He picked up on a weakness in Hatton and capitalized on it. He said and we saw it. The "check hook" that knocked Hatton out was not the first one he threw. Hatton didn't notice he was trying to counter with this fight-ender or did and just didn't adjust.....and eventually got Knocked Out.
He was desperately going for the KO, because he wasn't winning on points and Cortez had pissed him off. Either way, he got KO'd pretty bad. He would have heard the last bell though, but for Cortez - but wouldn't win a rematch, unless it was a bar brawl at The New Inn, Manchester.

Mayweather would beat his ass in a bar, on a street, on line at starbucks or anywhere else these two throw hands. :deal
