Think about it. You can become the highest paid boxer and athlete in the world. You can be arguably the most skilled boxer in the world. You can have people calling you the #1 p4p fighter in the world. Yet you don't even have to get in the ring with the best fighters. You can go your whole career without facing an ATG in their prime.

Seriously why would anyone want to face a guy like GGG now? Who wants to get in all likelihood KTFO if you don't have to? Why even step into the ring if you might lose?

The fact that you even pretend like a fighter is suppose to get into the ring with someone who fights in a division 2 weight classes above this his own is laughable and voids your whole argument.

Let's use some common sense here. If getting where Mayweather is and accomplishing what he's accomplished were so easy, everyone would be doing it. I know a lot of people don't want to admit it, but maybe Mayweather got to where he's at because he's smart and very talented. The man has collected 10 world titles over 5 divisions and defeated something like 20 world champions. He's been rated as a top 10 P4P fighter since 1998. You can't do that unless you've fought some good fighters.

What does this mean? I never said Mayweather should fight GGG.

Exactly. You can do all this without ever having to face ATG fighters.

Triple G has said that he'd come down to 154, where Floyd has a belt.

Floyd hasn't bothered, post Canelo, or even intends to defend his 154 belt again.

Cotto, Mosley, De La Hoya, Marquez, and now Pacquiao are all ATG fighters.

Cotto and DLH are not. Marquez and Mosley were not prime.

And Ward said he'd happily take GGG on and he was ignored.

If you wanna make a case for Floyd defending his belt, why do you choose the MW?

You're missing the point. Reading comprehension. The thread is about Floyd ducking all the great fighters throughout his career. And the success, money and respect he's gained despite all that.

Other fighters are going to look at him and say if didn't fight the best why should I?

Why would anyone want to face a guy like GGG now? Floyd never wanted Mosley or Pac in their primes? So why would anyone take on great fighters now?

Fighters he had a chance to face in their prime:

Hatton (right after Kosta Tsyzu at 140)
    Margarito
    Paul Williams
    Cotto
    Pacquiao

They made the fight and people are still saying he ducked. Only real boxing fans know what time it is.

Mosley in 2000? He ducked. Manny in 2009? He ducked. Barrera in 1999? He ducked. GGG at 154? He'll duck.

Name me one ATG in their prime that Floyd faced.
