Clueless ******* alert! Conversation over. He doesn't even have his facts straight lol... He said Floyd ducked Shane in 2000. Check the weight class where Floyd and Dhane were in 2000 lol. But the kicker is that Floyd ducked Barrera in 1999 lol. Then he throws in that Floyd will duck GG lol... Conversation over!!!:nut:nut:nut

Golovkin didn't offer anything, he was just talking. Big difference.

And according to the OP Cotto's not an ATG either. So he too is disqualified.

Don't confuse ATG's with HOF'ers, there really has not been that many ATG's during the Mayweather era. But to answer your question, no, he has not set a bad precedence, in fact he's set a good one if you look at the big picture. The guy buys out his contract and goes on to become one of the most successful and highest paid athletes in sports. Not bad for an under educated guy. He could have learned a few more life lessons, but hey he's still writing his legacy.

The question was posed in this forum last year, what was more important, to be recognized by your peers, or fans, I said your peers simply because, fans are driven by the emotions they feel towards the athletes they support. I could almost guarantee, if you posed that question to Mayweathers peers (boxers, trainers, promotors, minus Arum) they would overwhelmingly be in support of Mayweather.

FLOYD is winning inside and outside the ring. You can't blame him for earning more money than any pro today.

I don't care what he spends it on as it is his money:deal

The only things I fault Floyd with are the past gaps in his ring time and the better late than never fight with Pac.

    Money Money YEAH YEAH:smooch

Yeah because Floyd set such a bad precedent that its damn near impossible for good young fighters to get fights anymore.

Pretty much. A lot of the very best fighters today just don't want any part of the other top fighters.

Cotto was unbeaten & being hailed as the next big thing till Tony Margarito dismantled him. Tony made Cotto kneel before him & QUIT!!!!!! Cotto never got over that embarassment:good
