When Floyd fought Marquez, he was coming out of retirement and he would of attracted a good amount of casual fans like.. dancing with the stars, WWE fans, but after his boring performance against marquez I think the casual fans got put off and allowed forking out $54.95 for a Mayweather fight??

No, so many fans were clamoring to see him fight legit 147 fighter. How much was he suppose to make. ****, he is not Tyson or Oscar. He threw that money moniker after the Oscar and hatton fights. With all the cable theft and streams, it is possible that it took chunk of the profits they could have made. These tough days, folks are just getting together and pitching in some money and drink and eat. That is what we did.

I Am a big fan of PBF and never thought about this. Would be a very good point , does this mean if him and Pac did rumble then sales would go through the roof. If this is right Clotty is getting very few sales when he fights next.

Floyd's PPV drawing power has suffered because people were pissed off he was too cautious in so many of his fights(how the **** did he not knock JMM out?) and a lingering disappointment with his nonchalant attitude towards "legacy" fights.

However after his more aggressive showing against Mosley, if he agrees to fight Pac, people should flock to this PPV.

How can it hurt his ppv sales when his ppv sales have gone up?

I think most were surprised that the JMM was a good fight, and honestly PBF vs Shane was a better fight to watch than that **** from Clottey and Pac.

possibly. what do you expect? a blownout dude fighting a ww and still not be able to knock him out. yeah its a shutout, but a UD is a boring win in the eyes of most boxing fans

Possibly. I think nobody expected him to dominate a warrior like JMM the way he did. Much like he did Gatti. The casual fans that despise him walk away saying, "Yeah I hate him, but you got to be damned good to whip him..." So they may not buy lesser named opponents.

    Why would anybody be surprised.

Floyd also had boring performances in his last 3 fights before Marquez(the only saving grace being the Hatton KO)!

He is not known for being an exciting fighter!
