Did McCall really have a "breakdown" or was he just frustrated (or just a bum) ?

Really significant ? Henry Akinweande , Oleg Maskaev (Oleg didn't have a problem stopping a 21-0 Alexander Miroschnichenko whom almost stopped Bowe in 1988 on his debut which was at a late age , he had more experience than on his "debut" by d time he faced McCall) , Jesse Fergusson .

    "World Champions" ? : Akinwande , Seldon , Maskaev , Damiani , Holmes .
"5" besides of Lewis who makes it "6" , or did I forget any1 and he beat even more "champions" .
If Jimmy Ellis was a champion , then so was Seldon .

But it doesn't matter because he was ducked by every "big name" especially after his demolition job on Lewis . McCall could do d same with Riddick Bowe .

I can't see Ollie stopping Riddick Bowe. Bowe was a lazy fat underachiever, but he had better defence than the pre-Emmanuel Steward Lewis, and a solid chin.

I think people need to give McCall credit for the win. To say it was a lucky punch, or that he got lucky, is doing a disservice to him, imo. It's too simplistic.
It's fair to say Lewis was overconfident, but McCall had apparently trained to throw that right hand over the lazy Lewis jab.
Most other nights it may not have worked, but it did work that night.

Of course Lewis was by far the better fighter, don't get me wrong. By rights he should not have lost the fight. But he did, and it was down to a great right hand thrown by Oliver.
I think we need to respect that. :good

his chin wasn't glass , but wasn't really solid either , he was quite untested . Bowe did not have a better defense than "Pre Steward" Lewis , Bowe was known 4 getting hit since day 1 . Bowe enjoyed n even yet more protective upbringing than Lennox Lewis .
Bowe's defense was also worse than Akinwande's and c what happened 2 him . Bowe might have won a decision if it wasn't a well prepared and focused McCall , but ends concussed otherwise .
