Khan's coner said repeatedly that PM quit.

Clearly PM's corner disagree with this!!!!

What happened there? Maybe the doc asked a question like 'is the blood affecting your vision' and he replied 'no'.

This was misconstrued as a no to 'do you want to continue'.

well they let barrera continue so why not mcloskey? the cut was very bad i agree and they should've stopped the barrera fight and not let it go on the way they did.........i think mcloskey quit because i believe barrera's cut was worse and they let it go on because barrera didnt say anything about not being able to continue because he is a warrior

    No, McCloskey did not quit!

He just failed to give a positive response when the doc/ref asked about the cut. He looked disturbed by it, and wasn't exactly making a passionate case about wanting to continue. However, don't make the mistake in thinking he was wanting to quit. Far from it. It was only when his corner saw the cut after the referee waved it off, they told Paul it was nothing, started protesting, and kinda encouraged Paul to kick up a fuss too.

Khan didn't exactly say Paul quit. He just said Paul seemed bothered by the cut.

    No, that is idiotic.

    He clearly protested the stoppage.

Whatever, crap ending to a crap fight.

it seemed the ref and dr were not proper, and mcklosley maybe should have made it more clear he wanted to go on,and should have atleast been allowed till the end of the round.

Allthough khan had him hurt more and more, and the blood would have got worse and dripped into the eye.

McCloskey looked at his corner in disbelief that that the Dr even examined him. Replay confirmed this. McCloskey was like "are you serious?".

It was a serious cut, I don't think he had a problem with the doctor examining him. It was to be expected! I thought his shaking of the head was him not knowing what was going on or how he was feeling at the time. I thought it was a case of....

    Ref/Doc: "Paul, you ok?"

Paul: "I'm not sure, I can't tell just yet."

Ref/Doc: "Right, ok. Let's stop it then"

    Paul: "Huh?"

Paul's Corner: "What the ****, the cut is nothing!"

Paul: "Yeah, ref! What the ****! Why did you stop it for?!"

If you look at the replay he is shaking his head in disbelief not acknowledgement. Look the cut was nothing.

    No of course not.

My reaction watching was, "wtf is the ref doing in the ring, get on the apron you tit", then i quickly realised he was stopping it and i started roaring "no no no no" Vitali style, then went into disbelief mode

Was a total ****ing joke, embarrassment infact and Hearn and the McCloskey camp have every right to lay into the ref and doctor over this, totally inept.

I agree. It looked bad initially, but when the towel was wiped over it, it appeared to be okay. Bad decision.
