Mike Tyson hit Kevin McBride with his best shots possible and couldn't even stagger him let alone knock him out, in contrast Mollo dumped him on his ass a few times before knocking him out, opinions please.
I trained next to Mollo not even a year ago. Cool dude. Good boxer, good hitter with good punching pace, work horse in the gym. And with all the respect to him, I don't think he is in Tysons class as a puncher. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't think that. Then again, it's Mike Tyson. One of the best punchers in a century. How many people can say they punch as good as him?
Tyson was beyond shot by the time he fought McBride, even his punch power had almost gone along with his speed, timing etc. To the OP : If Mollo realy did hit harder than Tyson why did he lose to every decent HW he fought ??
That is a stupid question to ask, if that's the case then why didn't Earnie Shavers rule the division and go undefeated?
LOL. Shavers was in an era when his rivals were fighters like Muhammad Ali, Larry Holmes, Ken Norton Jerry Quarry and Ron Lyle. Mike Mollo got schooled by a 40 year old Andrew Golota, Jameel Mcline and Artur Szpilka.
You're still missing the point, having a big punch doesn't mean you are going to be a great fighter now does it?
He is not who I was referring to. That guy is bigger, better, scarier. Mollo sparred him, they went at it hard. Probably the best fight I ever saw. Afterwords Mollo told him he had the best jab he ever faced.
Ahh, Wass, you truly are the least intelligent poster on this form. So sorry to hear you back after a few weeks without your moronic, Tyson-bashing posts.
Yeah he's pro. He's been mentioned a few times in the general forums, but he is still pretty low key. He could be a serious threat at the top of the division in 5 years or so. I can see him being a very serious challenger to Joshua or Wilders title, depending on who is reigning supreme at the time. Unlike most pro SHW prospects, he's still really young too.
Pretty much. I saw them do 3 rounds iirc. Mollo held his own for sure. He was shorter, had shorter reach, but he got inside a few times and landed some. But the other guy just kept staying on the outside snapping his jab off like Holmes, using lateral movement. They were very friendly afterwords, offering each other advice and such. As for the last question, if you want to discuss it you can PM me.
Not sure how relevant Tyson's performance against McBride is. It was his last fight. So far past his prime and he couldn't be bothered lol. I'm not the biggest Tyson fan but you seem to have a bit of a problem with him lol.
Mollo hit hard... But that's about the only thing good he did. Tyson at had the better delivery system. That's what matters.
