Here's footage of Mike Tyson sparring did Tyson box off the front foot or the back foot or was his weight distribution over the center it could be argued either way but Tyson did throw a lot of leading hooks and uppercuts which is thrown off the front foot such as Roy Jones did.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qG-V-vVwvNE

Here's another clip of him throwing an uppercut.

One thing Tyson did wrong was stand square on when breaking from clinches, Douglas exploited this and punished him.

KO'd him with an uppercut, Holyfield took advantage of him squaring up off the clinches. Which is why I doubt that he would've beaten foreman. I do see him having a punchers chance against foreman since Tyson fought of the front foot mainly this allowed to slip and slide something that Qawi, Frazier, cooper, and all the other short fighters lacked. Pretty sure that smokin joe fought off the back foot due to the philly she'll.

He allowed himself to be walked backwards and ended up square on, Foreman would have man handled him into position and punished him. I honestly think a prime Foreman would have destroyed him in under 3 rounds. If I could pick any fantasy fight to take place in history it would be between these two.

Foreman was susceptible to the right hand, we seen it when Ali KO'd George against the ropes. Where Tyson is most dangerous George Foreman also had a slow jab Tyson would've easily slipped under those jabs, foremans hook was slow as well any head shots by George Tyson would've slipped under and he was much too low to the ground to be hit with those body shots by George. George did say that he would fight Mike Tyson the same way he fought Joe Frazier in that he would keep one hand on top of the shoulder and the other hand throwing uppercuts.

A fighter truly throwing from the front foot is going to be seen falling off balanced from time to time, something you didn't find with Mike. None of the boxers I've known who threw lead hooks, right hands, or uppercuts threw off the front foot. Almost any fighter who had some time in the golden gloves likely was taught heel and toe and the modern era balance between the two.

What got Tyson ko'd against Douglas and Holyfield was the fact that he neglected any form of defense, purely relying on his chin and rushing in reckelssly to try and score a ko.

Douglas was punishing all night after the break, I've seen the combo that badly hurt Tyson in the 9th from another angle once as the one that was broadcast you can't see the shots that land on him.

If you dont mind me asking OP - what is your massive interest in fighters boxing off front or back foot? Ive saw you ask a few times in the training section on here?

Even the uppercut that finished him and Holyfields counter right hand in the 10th round.

    Both because Tyson rushed in.

Tysons main problem has always been impatience.
