Never noticed this since everyone would always say Douglas got one. I'm thinking maybe the referee just sucked at counting lol
Was the same count buster got, 14 seconds, which caused Tyson and king to dispute the win, but the fact is tyson also got the same count himself. Guess you could say mikes count wouldn’t have been needed If the ref did an exact ten count for buster but the fact is Douglas was just following the refs instructions, who is to say he wouldn’t have got up earlier if needed, its not like he was out of it.
People forget, it's a referee 10 count, it is NOT necessarily 10 seconds Tyson v Douglas, they both had the same length count If it had to be strictly 10 seconds, they would use an independent ringside timer with electronic equipment
Yes but Tyson Fury got the 2nd longest assistance from the referee giving him a full 20 secs from going down to the fight restarting. Spud O'Connor carrying Nathan Cleverly back to his corner following his very slow count to 9 will always be the number one assistance from any referee.
It’s hard to believe that you obviously like boxing enough to register on a forum yet do not know that the count is supposed to be ten seconds, not just a count to ten at whatever speed the referee feels like.
You better be careful replying to everything I post or I’m going to think you’ve got a crush on me Miss Piggy.
Hop along Frog - you are adding zero value to the debates. Come back when you land on a boxthing brain
I saw a video in the Mayweather gym (as an aside if you haven’t seen Jeff Mayweathers videos they’re classic) and they were debating the ten count and some guys in there were arguing the downed fighter getting up and the ref checking he is ok to continue ALL had to happen within ten. Simply a ridiculous notion yet this was presumably pro fighters arguing the point
