Did Miranda prove last night he doesnt have what it takes to be an elite?

I saw last night as his last chance to do something big. He loses his biggest fights. the first fight with Abraham for the IBF title, against Pavlik for a shot at Taylor and yesterday for recognition. He has power and thats it and we know power isnt enough to be an elite. Its sad because coming from a Colombian family there will never be a Colombian boxer as successful as Antonio Cervantes, Rodrigo Valdez and Miguel Lora.

Miranda simply has limited tools in his skill bag..that's it !

He'll always be exciting but won't ever be in the top crop ...

In the last 20 years, very few fighters of his caliber have been hyped to the extent that he has !!

I also see the limited Sam Peter getting beaten soon ! He's a big hype job too !

No last night proved again that Miranda doesn't have what it takes to be an elite.

he's a limited fighter but i dont think he's a ***** or anything ..he's fun to watch he can bomb .. just takes a bit more then that to make it

i'd put him on the same level as say a bobby chacon...a bomber who might catch a break and beat a few top dogs along the way but could never really establish himself as the man

Is it possible that maybe you are undermining Abraham?

He proved he was not elite when he got steamrolled by Pavlik. Miranda is a Class B fighter end of story. No amount of trash talking will change that either.

Not sure what you mean by undermining Abraham.

Miranda ain't that good, I thought Abraham would beat him reasonably comfortably.

It's a realistic assessment of Miranda based on his achievements. Last nights fight went pretty much exactly as expected.

I really don't think Miranda is a bad fighter.

He has simply fought two guys who are better than him.

Miranda has a huge punch and some pretty alright skills, but Abraham and Pavlik are refined boxers who also have the same sort of power.

I still think Miranda could beat quite a few guys in or around that division.

Yeah it didnt take last night to show that he isnt elite, he is still dangerous and a decent fighter but not elite
