He was looking good before the Garcia fight was stopped.
He completely outhustled the very conservative Lomachenko (who is one of the best pure boxers ever).
Marquez is a big stylistic threat to Salido, and happens to be an ATG, losing to Marquez is no shame, it was a competitive fight, Salido is better now than he was then.
Orlando Salido has IMPROVED. Just like he had throughout his whole career.

The vargas i saw tonight would not give loma a competitive fight.

If Vargas tries to box Loma, you're right it won't really be a competitive fight.
If he avoids trying to outbox him and instead makes it a rough fight, it can be quite competitive, although Vargas is far more fundamentally a boxer than Salido.
Salido is deffo the tougher fight of the two.

Surprise he wasn't able to drop Salido. Maybe Salido had the best preparation for this one..Was he on it or Vargas was off it. I dunno it just seemed odd that Salido can take those shots and not go down actually he was getting stronger each round.

Maybe. You have to have pressure to trouble Loma, which is exactly the style Salido implemented against Loma, the first time out. Vargas is a higher velocity fighter than Salido ever could be. And he's getting better.

It's because he's improved. He paces himself better now. He's also healthier at 130.

He doesn't have salidos crafitiness/dirtiness to make it competitive in anyway imo. You literally have to pull a maidana/salido type style to be even competitive with loma unless you're rigo skilled. But unlike Mayweather loma is young and still has his legs, so I doubt those tactics would work that well after his salido experience.

Not pressure, dirty pressure+out weigh him by like 20 pounds. I like vargas ive been hyping him on this board for ages, but he wouldnt even be competitive with loma.

never said he was shot, but miura did do the most damage to vargas in his career, and it seems like his eye is going to cut up in every fight for the rest of his career. kind of like rosado.

I disagree. Vargas has what it takes to be more than competitive against Loma if they fought.:deal Loma has already shown, a crowd pleasing style which means he's willing to fight to come out on top. Against Vargas that would be a bad idea imo. And I'm a huge Loma fan.

what angle would that be? hyping mikey's win up because he might be with tmt? trying to play loma down? when I probably give him the most praise on this forum along with crawford?

I 100% wont deny that I **** on ggg, and his awful fans, and also criticize kovalev unfairly at times due to his racism, but I have been nothing but fair wiht loma. some might even call me a loma nuthugger.

It depends on your definition of competitive. I dont think LOma will handle vargas like mayweather did pac/canelo, but I think he'll win 9-10 rounds quite clearly.
