Exactly, it's criminal how underrated he is. Salido has been making a lot of noise over the past 5 years and it's been the best stretch of his whole career.
People judge Salido based on losing to monsters, and being a lesser fighter last decade than he is now.

Salido called Loma the best pure boxer he ever fought and made Loma look lost, whilst also winning the latter half of the Marquez fight and coming back strong against Mikey...apparently Salido looks mediocre against good boxers (Francisco Vargas being a good boxer himself) :verysad

If Salido was a natural welter in the welterweight division, these guys would give him more credit because welterweight is all they have knowledge of. Even Maidana is underrated, he's a good name for anyone's resume.

:nod good post. Vargas didnt box Salido though, he tried to outbrawl him though Salido might have forced him.

No, here's another reason why you're a dumbass. When I post, read and learn, honestly.
Salido is a very good fighter, especially in this decade. He would lose against the ELITE though, but beat everybody else.

I don't understand how he can be ranked number 1 today then.

    It's Corrales imo.

The best boxers will out box Salido but the next level below will likely be forced into exchanges with him.

Loma, Martinez, Salido, Vargas, Corrales, Pedraza, Fortuna.

Quite a fair amount of 50/50 fights in this division.

Hopefully the big fights will be made.

Salido has arguably beaten 3 of those names already though, interesting how he'd do against Corrales who's my number 1.

I have only seen that Uchiyama fight. Corrales approached that fight like the ultimate game theorist. He studied Uchiyama meticulously before the fight and the 'wild punches' that people saw were 100% to set up aggressive counters.
