Just wtching Vitor Belfor in his early days...he was build like a freak ...seriously hypotrophic ...another is mark coleman. Seeing belfort in his recent matchup and even the weighin he had no texture to his muscle /bulk. ????
coleman was an abuser for sure. infact it is very clear that many of them were steroid abusers. except royce gracie.
simple answer to this is almost every athlete uses steroids, they problem is the people who make steroids have millions to spend on developing the drug and making sure there drug does not get detected. The people who try and find the drugs have a fraction of the budget.
Yea absolutely. Take a look at Ken Shamrock in those days (and his WWE days). Half these cats are fighting at around 200 these days.
Some did. Some didn't. I'm guessing the same holds true today, though probably less take the chance. Guys like Kerr would tell you straight up that they used steroids.
Well yes, before testing it was much more prevelant; in countries with no testing it's still prevelant. Now I know some wannabe is going to pop off about how easy it is to beat a steroid test and that "only idiots get caught", neither is true. Tests occasionally are beaten but there is no consistent way of doing it, and the ways that even occasionally work are found out. If it was easy to pass a drug test the worlds best dopers (cyclists for one) wouldn't get caught, but they do; if the most advanced cheaters get caught more often than not, some inexperienced in comparison MMA fighter stands no chance, especially since they are getting their advice from meatball gym slezeball steroid dealers and other uninformed sources rather than the worlds best doping scientists like the cyclists have.
Sherk is another one whos been on gear pretty much openly for years. Barnett is another. The whole Hammerhouse team.
They did and guys still do now. Anyone who thinks steroids are not used today is living in cloud cuckoo land.
It was after the second Sakuraba fight. Although technically you aren't wrong because that was also after the Hughes fight, just not directly after.
Yeah, they used steroids for sure. Nowadays they use HGH and undectable substances. Most of them are taking something. Athletes in several sports have been using steroids and performance-enhancing drugs for 50, 60 years and more. Testing or no testing.
Did they? That **** was mandatory mate. Those guys werent just on steroids they were on a slew of diffrent drugs. Mark Kerr was probably the worst of them all along with Ken Shamrock. Belfort was also on drugs. He failed a **** test a little while back and was banned for a year or so.
The problem with hormones that accompanies abuse is the lack of knowledge about that. Thats the reason why some guys get caught. "good" juicers dont get caught. Steroids like Dbol can aromatize quickly and be out of your system in hours maybe days if you have the right gear. Its not as difficult to fail a **** test as people allude to.
