Did more people believe Fury won the first Wilder fight after the second fight was over?

Or at least feel it was more of a domination than they did before? I sometimes people change their view of how close or one sided a match was based on what happened in a rematch..kind of how if Wilder wins the third fight and especially if he won a potential fourth fight people will start seeing the first fight as closer than it was..which is wrong really..what happens after should have no bearing on what has already occured

Nope Fury won the first fight hands down inspite of the two knock downs. Wilder missed a golden opportunity against a rusty, weight drained Fury. He got to see what it is really like against an active, on top form Fury in the rematch and that there are serious levels in boxing for which he needs more than his power and right hand and just blindly waiting for rounds to go by to land that right hand.

Yes it was a bad defeat but sharing the ring against Fury is the only way for Wilder to improve his game and understanding of boxing.

No, I think any true boxing fan had Fury winning the first fight by a wide margin and so the result of the 2nd fight had no effect on how they viewed the first fight.

Only people thought Wilder deserved a draw or even won the first fight are the same nut jobs throwing around conspiracies after the 2nd fight.

    This.

The 'draw' was almost as egregious as the D in Holy- Lennox 1

I scored Holyfield vs Lewis I 117-111 for Lewis, Fury vs Wilder I - 116-110 for Fury. So it was as bad or even worse, as Fury also dominated the rounds in which he got knocked down.

Maybe their language was bolder but seems the same ratio to me.

No, the first fight was utterly one sided to the point that even the rounds Wilder scored a knockdown he was still comprehensively outboxed.

No, I had Fury winning the first one clearly at the time.
Having said that, I rarely think a "draw" is a severe robbery.

No, everyone knew Fury clearly won the first fight, if they admit, or not. I honestly don’t believe anyone that says they think Wilder even drew the first time round.

I did not bother watching the second fight live. I knew the result would be another Fury win. The second fight was unnecessary, and did not want anything to do with funding it.

Third fight I’m not going to watch either. Boxing fans should not be made to watch the same hopeless fight over and over again, when far better, and fresher fights could be made, just because one boxer is in denial.

Imagine having to watch Calzaghe beat up Lacy every year over and over again. It was great the first time round, but we all know it’s a hopeless fight for Lacy. He should just move on.

Two things on Fury v Wilder I

In terms of scoring I thought Fury won 115:113
Being consistent, after moaning about Payliss giving Ramirez like 15 seconds to recover and saying Taylor was robbed of a KO, I have to say that Wilder was really robbed of a KO for similar reasons - not sure if it was quite as long as Ramirez got on 2nd KD, but it was deffo > 10 seconds.

Fury won the first fight but you can't dominate anything when you throw as little as fury did that night and suffer two knockdowns

I had Fury winning the first fight 114-112. With the two 10-8s, all Wilder had to do was win 3 of the other 10 rounds to get a draw. And given how little action there was in most rounds, that's hardly some kind of robbery. I gave him only 2 of those 10, but a draw was fine.

I had Fury winning the first one.
The second win did not do anything except solidly my opinion that Fury is the superior fighter over Wilder.
