Closer than Pacquiao did. (118-110, 116-112 x2)
Closer than Marquez did, by a lot. (120-107, 119-108, 118-109)

Canelo had the closest scorecards Mayweather ever had besides Castillo 1 and DLH.

Judging by the last few pages of this thread I'm guessing someone called Wilder v Fury a robbery and compared it to GGG v Canelo.

Pre-Floyd, Canelo is the young hungry Lion of the Division, he will end Mayweather. Post Floyd, Canelo was too green and Young, rushed into a fight with Floyd. GTFOH

As for Pacquiao, he had more miles on the clock by the time he and Floyd fought. In any case, i am sure even now at 43, Floyd will embarrass the current Canelo again.

You can believe that the draw scorecard "heavily favoured" Wilder, but disagreeing with a decision is hardly evidence of corruption. A robbery means the outcome is indefensible, and certainly that is not the case here. The Fury judge and draw judge were one round apart. At bottom, you have a fight without a lot of action in most rounds. And Wilder was the one with the two 10-8s in his pocket. Still, Fury could have danced in the 12th and given the round away, yet he would have won.

Thankfully, we got resolution (or at least I thought) in the rematch. Fury proved himself the superior fighter and got the KO. He outboxed Wilder in the first fight and beat him up in the second fight. Fury fans and Wilder haters alike should be happy.

You seem to also be taking a more reasonable position; I can admit that saying the draw scorecard "heavily favoured" Wilder, was likely alcohol induced last night. Even so, it still biased Wilder. And again, I would maintain Rochin's card was blatant. Hence it was a blatant robbery.

I agree Wilder having "two 10-8s in his pocket" would have justified a rematch for a dethroned champion. But it doesn't justify the first fight being a draw on the official cards.

This thread has turned into Shadow versus the world, so I have explained my reasoning here:

Rounds 4 (Wilder 22:81 Fury)
(note they don't add to a perfect ratio of 100 due to 10-10 rounds)

You suggest: "Fury won 2 rounds clearly but all the other rounds were actually quite close", this clearly goes against the data.
From the above we can see there were three "close" rounds of which one was what we can call a swing round, i.e. round 2.

On a personal note, the above was very close to how I scored the fight live:
I split the opening 2 rounds, one a piece between Wilder and Fury. I then gave Wilder the 4th and of course the 9th and 12th.

So of the three "close" rounds I gave Wilder 2 and Fury 1 (and I was probably influenced by the idea of Wilder being the champion if I am honest)
That gave me a card of 114-112 for Fury.

So lets assume your scoring is close to the average, to give Wilder a draw you have to give all three close rounds to Wilder. Which would suggest a bias toward Wilder.
To give Wilder a narrow win would indicated an unreasonable bias toward Wilder.
To give Wilder a wide win...you get the point.

So lets look at the official cards:
We have three supposedly neutral judges so perhaps we can expect three cards to fall within a range of:

), 113-113 (
This content is protected
)

One gives Fury 114-112 (

One has it a draw 113-113 (

p.s. you are welcome to score it 113-113 everyone looks for different things, but based on the above reasoning I think you are biasing Wilder with your scoring criteria.

I can tell you're still torn up over the decision. Understandable, but there's no need for you to get all bent out of shape about it. You're trying to act like Fury Wilder 1 was on par with Canelo GGG 1. Fury arguably won every round besides the two rounds that he was knocked down in. There's an argument that Wilder maybe won 2 or 3 rounds max. That's much different than Canelo GGG 1 where Canelo won rounds 1-3 & 10-12 and arguably round 4, 5 or 6. So unlike Wilder, Canelo wasn't losing every round and needed two late knockdowns just to have a chance at getting a draw. Canelo actually came out of the gate winning rounds and built a lead early on. And unlike Wilder, who was getting beaten to the punch and clearly outlanded and outbox in pretty much every round, Canelo landed the better cleaner harder punches on GGG in pretty much every round. Sorry, I'm not gonna let you get away with trying to act like Canelo GGG 1 was anywhere near as one-sided as Wilder Fury 1 was. That's total nonsense.
