Did Mosely gas after two

He gassed, but also FMJ "froze" him.

As anyone who has tried to Box a supremely conditioned athletic intuitive counter puncher will tell you... That ish is nightmarish. That mofo will STAY in range and every time you THINK about punching him he will hit you... TWICE!

Eventually guys are reduced to quivering, I mean feinting, mass or trying to lose gamely and just land something. The adrenaline dump of trying to meet the guys attacks eventually subsides and then all you are left with is your brain on fire trying to match wits with him and a creeping depression as your gas tank empties. Like an buffalo getting relentlessly nipped at by a pack of wolves. You know where this is going. You also know you have no way of stopping it... Damn.

FMJ does that to guys. Many fast skilled counter punchers do. Even worse when the mofo ALSO has the eraser like SRL did! DAAAAAAMMMNNNNN!

I Think Shane just over trained for the fight ????

he went through TWO tough training camps without a rest
and its 'possible' the blood testing could've been a factor also .....maybe / maybe not

shane looked very lean in the ring he looked smaller than floyd
who looked like a bodybuilder in the ring

maybe it was a mixture of a weight drained 38yr old / two tough camps behind him
/blood taken regularly / stress of his divorce and usada testing on his mind ?????

shane gassed out against mora but not till the late rounds
i know it was at 154 but shane had to chase mora all over the ring
all night as sergio was on his bike ?

he gassed early against floyd who was standing flat footed in front of shane ?????

i knew floyd would win on points but thought shane would be more agressive

mayorga landed flush bombs on shanes chin and shane kept walking thru them
and pressing the attack ......and mayorga was 170 in the ring !!!!!

margarito didnt land much on shane he kept coming forward but shane
stood his ground and out muscled tony without getting tired ?

cotto landed clean powerful counters on shane and shane fought like a madman

mosley looked weird in the fight, he looked like a drug addict that just went cold turkey before the fight, I dont know if he overtrained or just lacks stamina but it was weird, to me he already lost before he got in the ring, he was scared of mayweather, after round 2 you see him breathing heavily and then it starts mayweather dominating him and you could tell from mosley's face that his confidence dropped with every punch that landed. Therefore he started wanting to touch gloves after everything and even tried talking with may in the middlerounds till floyd hit him in the face to shut him up.
Mayweather looked good besides that second round but mosley really looked pathetic.

 

Mayweather started to take over the fight (not Mosley's energy)toward the end of the 2nd. Mayweather never made Mosley gas, but may have taken some steam off his punches and have his speed slow down a bit with his early body work but not as early as the 3rd.

Look at Mosley's body language and movement, its not that of someone who is gassed out. He was bouncing on his toes early and tried to set some things up but was countered very quickly. Just because Mosley wasn't T'ing off doesn't mean he was gassed. He is in with a elite counter puncher with elite hand speed. After Mayweather started tagging him late in the 2nd and early in the 3rd countering him quickly after any punch Mosley throw. He was tamed and forced to think more rather then load up and throw like he could do vs a come forward fighter like Margo who had inferior hand speed to Mosley. If Mayweather wasn't reacting quickly with counters then Mosley would have done exactly that and tried to run through him.

All that happened was Mayweather took control of the pace of the fight and forced Mosley to think a lot more since Mosley was getting countered every time he tried to do anything from the end of the 2nd on. Every time Mosley tried to do something Mayweather jumped on him.

 

He didn't gas after 2 rounds.
He was just completely clueless and outclassed by the superior technician. Everything he tried got countered. And as we know Mosley isn't the most adaptable fighter around.
