You should have posted the HBO footage. They made those rounds seem a lot more dramatic than Tessitore and Mathews. "Cotto staggering!"
Cotto isnt faster then Hatton. He's probably not stronger either. He just has better technique and footwork. Mosley dodges those punches 5 years ago in his prime easy.
Towards the end of the 9th Mosley landed a nice flush left hook and a couple right hooks or overhand rights and I think the fact that Mosley sat behind the punches put power in them landed flush and Cotto moved alot in that fight you can see his legs start to leave him alittle. Mosley defientally got to him it was just a combo of things not only in the 9th but in earlier rounds.
you r an IDIOT if u think hatton is stonger than cotto based on what??:huh :huh at 147 cotto is 10x as strong as hatton, he is faster and his pinches are shorter and quicker this comment clearly shows your lack of knowledge
If anything, it was the chopping rights of Mosley that were doing the damage. That said, I think it was a combination of Cotto being relatively hurt, but also because he wanted to box a bit after realizing that his body attack wasn't going to stop Mosley. Before the fight I figured Cotto going to Mosley's older body would win by stoppage. Mosley impressed me greatly in the fight, and Cotto did as well by showing his own resilience. Hell of a fight.
Why? Hatton does intensive weight training and presses over 700lbs with his legs. He needs strength training because he likes to grapple, Cotto doesnt.
Hatton comes into most of his fights above 150. 147 has nothing to do with his strength. As I said before he lifts weights its a large part of his training, largely because he likes to grapple. Cotto is probably not as strong as Hatton.
Yeah, for fighters at 140 pounds. At 147, he loses his strength advantage where Cotto is much stronger at this weight than he was at 140.
sorry if a mispell a word, but im sure u know what i meant , anyhow you have no credibility saying hatton is just as strong as cotto
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/7118601.stm Hatton is a very strong guy. I rarely see Cotto grapple, and he doesnt have a real one punch KO so I dont see how strength even if he was as strong as Hatton would be a factor. Oh and he leg pressed over 1,000 my mistake.
I just can't follow you G_Rap.....first your talking about strength and then your talking about punching power and then weightlifting. All completely different things
