Did Mosley really back up Cotto?

I think Cotto has more punching power of course. Hatton has tiny little T rex arms lol. I think Hatton is stronger, meaning leverage wise, he can muck it up and push you around on the inside better.

For instance Arnold Schwarzenegger probably couldnt throw as hard a punch as Kelly Pavlik even though he is stronger.

 

They both hurt eachother in the fight and they r both gonna still bring it. Cotto was smart to move. Mosley should of never dedicated the fight to the late CHICO! There's only 1 CHICO! It made the fight exciting, but like Collazo said, SSM should fought smart and took the W.

 

Yeah, he's extremely strong for 140 pounds. His strength wasn't as effective at welterweight against a natural one like Collazo who is not even known for being a strong dude.

Cotto at 147 pounds has shown he is MUCH physically stronger than Hatton. His destructions of Quintana, Judah and even the way he was able to handle Mosley in close prove this.

 

Yeah, I think Cotto is a natural 147#er...he's just stockier built compared to the othe taller welters

 

Cotto wasn't hurt. People have a misconception of Cotto...since he's almost always the one coming foward that going back automatically means he was hurt, which is untrue. He fought that way against Abdullaev. He's smart enough to know that Mosley needed to get a KD or a KO to win...so he knew that Mosley was going to throw as hard as he could and hope for something to land. Mosley really didn't land anything hard enough to hurt cotto...Judah did land some vicious uppercut, but even does shot wasn't enough to stop Cotto's momentum. Cotto is a ****ing freight train at 147.

 

hatton is not stronger than Cotto in anything. Yeah hatton pushes his opponents around...but it's part of his style. Cotto pushes his opponents by punching the **** out of them....he's not a hold and punch fighter like hatton. I think hatton uses that method as part of his defense on the inside.

 

I feel he was not hurt. Just fought backpedalling, which is a tough ask in itself. I also felt he was taking it easy on Shane. I take nothing away from Mosley, he is and always will be one of the true gentlemen of the sport,not to mention one of the best to step into the ring, but did u guys notice how cotto would land a nice shot, and then back-up and have a facial expression like "oooh, did that hurt shane?". Maybe it's just my imagination. Any way, good fight, hat off to both fighters. :good
