If Floyd is serious about proving to the fans he can whip Mosely he'll make a fight happen. Plain and simple. With all the talk about it on this site and elsewhere among the fans, I find it very hard to believe this fight won't sell well. In fact, it's ridiculous/silly to think it won't.
I hear many on hear ranting about a Pac/Mayweather matchup, which would be great, I agree. But I also hear a lotta talk desiring Floyd to face a "true" Welterweight. The latter is what I prefer to see, Floyd face a true and seasoned Welterweight. This fighter is Shane Mosely.
Good question. I can only imagine it was quite a bit since it was Gin who was responsible for Mosley's accounting pracrices. That sneaky broad proababaly laundered much of Shane's money without his knowledge.
GTFO. I was up on boxing then and up on it now. Floyd-Mosley was talked about by no one but Floyd. The fact is all the big names at the time were at welter so act like you know, Shane was going for bigger fights, back then most thought Shane would lose to Oscar being the smaller man go figure. Shane was going up for Oscar or Tito.
http://www.nytimes.com/1999/05/13/s...all.html?n=Top/Reference/Times+Topics/People% Don't tell me Mosley wasn't looking for Oscar.
classic *******...Did you actaully read my post about this or even the article that you posted??? It said that Shane was moving to 140 with a eye on a fight vs Oscar in dec of 1999. As I said in my post, there was no doubt that Shane was looking to fight Oscar, but he didnt move up to fight Oscar there is a difference. There was no fight set with Oscar, and Shane didnt pick a fight with Oscar over a fight with Floyd. Not to mention that Arum was promoting Oscar at that time and as YOUR artcle shows ''It's a ridiculous fight,'' That dont sound like he was trying to promote that fight in the slightest. Damn man if you cats are going to post you could at least READ the **** that your commentting on or maybe the stuff that you post yourself
Look at you boy, trying to cover your tracks. You obviously didn't read my whole post before you commented, so take your own advice. I told you Shane was looking for the Oscar fight remember, never once did I say that the fight was already signed. But that by the time Floyd was calling out Shane he was already in the works to go to welter and look for Oscar. I was a big fan then and a big fan now, no one thought Floyd could match Mosley back then. :deal
Man you *******s are something eles. You clearly stated that Shane moved up to fight Oscar and tito. That wasnt the case, he moved up because he couldnt make the weight. Im not trying to cover ****, because I right, then you posted an article that backed everything I said in an effort to prove what I said wrong. My point remains that Shane didnt duck Floyd because he could no longer make the weight, HOWEVER he didnt pick a with Oscar over Mayweather, and could have still fought Floyd. It had nothing to do with fighting Oscar. The fact that you posted that Article were Arum was quoted as saying that they tried to get Shane to fight at 137 does seem to lead to maybe he did duck floyd...the later case Shane clearly ducked out on a fight with Floyd. At the end of the day it only shows how blinded by hate that some become. Truth is Floyd offered fights to Margo, Cotto, and Mosley, yet he is bashed for ducking them??? I dont really get it..
Straight up clown. Listen to yourself. In your last two posts I've been called *******. You got your mouth shut and ain't man enough to admit it. Everybody's wrong sometimes, the best thing to do is man up and admit it. You should try. Floyd was never in the big picture at the time. He was expected to do big things but still an unknown factor. Mosley went up in weight to fight Oscar, that was the match he was looking for then and after he made a little noise at welter he got it. :nutcase Oh and by the way the doctor said you were autistic not artistic.
No need to argue the point with you any more, you just keep proving how stupid you are with each post...READ if you do that you will see that YOUR article CLEARLY stated that Oscar had no intention on fighting Shane, Tito had already said that he was making the move to 154. No matter how much you morons attempt to change what REALLY happened its not going to work. Floyd a nobody??? REALLY??? A guy that was in the p4p top 10??? One spot below Shane... P4P ranking before Shane beat Oscar 1. Jones 2. Tito 3. Oscar 4. Shane 5. Floyd 6. Mark Johnson 7. Ricardo Lopez 8 Hopkins 9. Stevie Johnston 10 Hamed After Shane beat Oscar 1. Shane 2. Jones 3. Tito 4. floyd 5. Oscar 6. Hamed 7. Hopkins 8 Morales 9. Vargas 10 Mab Nice try....Dude Its hard to debate things like this with a person that has every issue of RING since 1969. And you say that floyd wasnt in the big picture but what does that have to do with Shane turning down the fight??? If in fact it was true that Floyd wasnt in his big picture??
I dont think Shane ducked him in 2006, he was just being a pet for Oscar to not potentially ruin the mega fight betweeen DLH/PBF I think Jack Presscot even wrote a long ass article about it too.
Just because somebody claims they called someone out doesn't mean they would have fought them. Hell... Floyd won't fight even a welterweight prospect, let alone a beast like Mosley. All this crap that happened years ago is Floyd's "get outta jail free card." Half of you morons are just repeating **** you read on the web having no real knowledge of what actually happened. Pathetic to see the lengths "Money's" mongrels will go to to protect him.
