because at the time it Shane would have been giving an unearned shot. Right now both guys are #1 and #2 in the same weight class and both should want the fight. There is tons of money in it for both of them and it's a fight that the public is demanding. in 99 it would have been just another fight.

NO MOSLEY DIDNT DUCK FLOYD IN 1999...He had the opportunity to fight Floyd or go up in weight and try and make a mega fight with Oscar...HE DID THE RIGHT THING BY FIGHTING OSCAR CUZ FLOYD WAS NOT A BIG DRAW BACK THAN AND MOSLEY WAS GETTIN READY TO MOVE UP NE WAYS CUZ HE WAS HAVIN TROUBLE MAKIN 135...

MOSLEY DID HAVE HIS OPPORTUNITY IN 2006 HOWEVER BUT I WOULD NEVER BLAME MOSLEY FOR MOVIN UP TO FIGHT OSCAR IN HIS PRIME N 99..

Mosley has never openely denied it and Mayweather has said it on more than one occasion.

In regards to the 2006 incident. Shane went on record prior to the Vargas fight to say that after that fight, he was taking time out for his family and himself, and was going on vacation. Floyd then called him out after the fight, and when Shane reiterated what he previously said in regards to taking time off, Floyd accused him of "ducking"

I don't know all the details about the 2006 incident so I won't comment on it. Whatever happened in the past does not change the facts that are present today.

    1. The fight would make a lot of money for both guys
    2. The fans are demanding this fight. Aside from a fight with Pacquiao nothing else makes sense right now.

If Floyd fights pacman I really can't blame him. Even though I'd rather see a mosley fight, most fans want to see him fight pacman (I really can't understand why) and that will make the most money. If he fights anyone other than the winner of pacquiao vs Cotto or Mosley, then it's a ***** move if you ask me.

undefeated at welter weight in more than a decade, had every top fighter running from him would have been a much better pick than a fight with Judah or even Baldimor.

You cant sit back and tell me picking a fight with Judah who was comming off of a loss was a bigger Challenge than Margarito please do try though I could use another laugh.

Pac V Mayweather has to go down. It is a fight that even the casual boxing fan is demanding. The ppv numbers will be one of the best ever. The media behind this event will be second to none. The world needs to see this fight.

As for Mosley, what exactly would mayweather gain from beating him now? We know full well if Mosley was to lose people would immediately jump to his AGE and his loss to cotto and his sluggish performance against Mayorga.

With Pac there is no excuses, the best two boxers in the world meeting up. With only one who can truly elimate all doubt as to who is the best in the sport. This is the fight that needs to happen.

I would love to see Mayweather V Mosley but I honestly understand Mayweather reluctance to give Mosley the fight .

Would have been a better pic? :patsch

What titles did Margarito have at the time?

Even Roy Jones asked for Mayweather to enter the ring with Judah. That was an engaging fight.

face it Margarito didn't do **** when Mayweather made it to welterweight, keep telling yourself he did but you just make yourself look stupid.
