round 2 was very exciting, the pub where i was watching erupted, but then round 3 onwards Shane just seemed to go looking for that one big punch again instead of building on his success. Even though rocking PBF was a good thing, perhaps it happened too early and affected the rest of the fight too much for Shane.
His lack of a plan B was his downfall. Once Floyd adjusted after that 2nd round shane didnt have an answer.
It was the worse thing that could happen for mosley he got excited and wanting to emulate his success. What I noticed was how in your face mayweather was to mosley. You would think he would be on his bike for a bit having taken them heavy shots in round 2 but he was right in front of shane. Everytime mayweather is challenged in the ring he is always able to find an answer.
Mosley is an 18 yr PRO, and has been fighting since age 12....If he still gets excited over two punches than that is pretty sad... But I believe it was Mayweather who neutralized Mosley.
it was a bit of both. mosley will lose a fight to a guy and fight the same fight in the rematch. mayweather did figure him out mosley jab was finding a place too often floyd was getting tagged after he got rocked floyd got pissed
Thats what i thought to be fair, it was like he knew he had the power to get floyd out, he also thought he would be able to get that perfect shot off at some point, it didnt happen, and it turned into mosley not throwing anything. Such as shame, had he been as agressive of old, he would have more than likely stopped floyd.
i respect floyd for how he came forward after being hurt.... the guy is the best now without doubt.... although i still want to know why was mosley looking tired after 4 and why was he breathing through his mouth so early.... it wasb't as if there was great physical exertion... concentration yes....but after 4 he looked in bad shape.... could it be his nose job? btw, i'm taking nothing away from pbf - he was the man and fought brilliantly and whupped ass of the guy who was in front of him
No that was a fluke and it didnt putt him of his game plan he simply didnt have it anymore, this Mosley is just a trembling old man.
faints, mentally pressure, body excursions is what caused that. Floyd beats you up mentally and physically. Oscar was cooked, Hatton was done mid rounds, Baldomir mentally defeated in the early round, JMM mentally defeated, Mosley was mentally defeated and in survival mode the whole fight.
i agree all floyd oponets get like this. JMM is the only guy of recent that didnt end up like that mentally. But shane isnt mentally tuff you all should know if ur a boxing fan. Shane was so type his 2nd fight w forrest the same thing happen right after round! but he didnt stay that way. forrest wasnt on his ass like floyd was so shane was able to calm his self.
