He didn't stop throwing he was trying to land bombs for the rest of the round. Some people are so desperate to discredit floyd its embarrassing.

    Nope.

He definitely did want to finish him, but Floyd wasn't making it easy for him.

Another overlooked factor is the fact that Floyd made him respect his punches right from the beginning, and Mosley was actually fighting backwards. He almost seemed cautious of being stopped.

When he first got to Floyd in round 2 he probably thought he could wear him down like that over and over again, but he never got a second chance and by the time he realized he wouldn't be stopping him (rounds 9 or 10, maybe) it was too late to do anything differently.

I don't think Mosley threw the fight but I also don't know why he was so tired after only the 2nd round. Maybe he'd over-trained or his conditioning wasn't right for whatever reason but he never mounted another sustained attack. He was also being given good advice by Nazim about 'making' opportunities but he didn't act on that advice - again ,not to throw the fight IMO but rather he just didn't seem to have the energy or ambition to really give it a go. I was disappointed with Mosley. I expected him him to put up a decent showing but he only managed it for 1 round. Mentally he didn't look 'on it' between rounds.

Dont forget Mayweather is the money man now in boxing and Mosley is partner of Golden Boy Promotion who promotes Mayweather, just wild thinking. Golden Boy Promotion will make more money if Mayweather wins.

You should see the look on Oscar's face when Mosley stunned Mayweather. That was as celebratory as I've ever seen Oscar act at a fight, period.

    My take exactly.
The 2nd round took more out of Moseley than Floyd, as it transpired.

Whoever bought up pac jmm is not thinking properly. That fight was still competetive. Hell as much as Baldomir got smacked around , he at least kept trying to hit Mayweather. I did not see Mosley try at all.

Sports talking heads think they saw a fighter who was just there to collect a check.

Dont forget that boxing in America started its decline after the BS decisions that go the other way and knockouts from glancing blows.

When the intelligence of the average person is insulted, they get angry.

Its the fanboys of the sport or fighter that makes excuses.

No! After round 2 Floyd stepped inside Mosley's power. He's just too smart of a defensive fighter.

Mosley was trying to set up the right with short left jabs to the body. Once Mayweather started seeing a trend, he was able to beat him to the punch with a right cross to the head. After a few right crosses, Mosley had no interest in the jab to the body and thus the big right was taken away.

Mayweather did the same neutralizing Mosley's left hook. Mosley would try to set it up and May would beat him to the punch with his own jab and/or left hook.

    Fight is over.
