I know he eventually fought Barerra and lost but before that do you think he ducked them 4 in the 1990's? and other fighters?

You could throw Mayweather in there too...

in answer to the question i'm honestly not sure :think

i was never really a fan and was jumping around like an idiot when Barerra beat him but Naz never struck me as a bottler.

    A myth.

He actually fought Barrera, so no. He tried to get Morales for the Sanchez fight, but couldn't be done. They actually tried to make JMM at one point, too, but that failed to materialize as well.

Hamed was actually reaching that point where he fights with Morales, Barrera (rematch), JMM and others would have happened had his soul not been taken by Barrera. He retired at such a young age, that he didn't really have the chance to 'duck' them. But at that stage of his career, the fights with those guys were on the verge of happening. But Barrera threw a spanner in the works.

for the sanchez fight his first pick was marquez but he turned down a career high payday saying not enough time to prepare. then he picked tapia who also refused, then morales barrera, but they had just come off there own war so was understandable that they turned it down.

I remember Mayweather talking to Larry Merchant after he beat corrales and hamed was brought up, Merchant said something like "prince naseem aint going to want to fight you after this" im guessing around that time they were potential opponents??

i never liked Hamed much always thought he was a tosser, but he was good, and think morales would have been a good fight, 50-50 , but i think he would have beaten Tapia

    No he didn't.

He'd have been more than a match for any of them at his best, which he wasn;t when he fought MAB

Hamed is a boxing forgotten afterthought when he retired. MArquez, Barrera, Morales, Pacquiao all started fighting each other in great fights. Hamed retires after being schooled by Barrera.

Naz didnt duck anyone, he believed his own hype as did his team.

He was not in his prime when he fought Barrera, had he been it would have been much more interesting. Marquez was offered a fight but turned it down and Tapia? Are you serious? He was in my opinion no better than McCullough.

Steward didn't want Hamed anywhere near Marquez.

With good reason, he'd have been destroyed.

Hamed is a legend. He'd have beaten the majority of those listed. Its a shame he retired so young.

Come on then... tell me how Hamed can defeat any of Pacquiao, Marquez, Barrera or Morales.

    I'm all ears.
