High profile fight, alot at stake, in Vegas, on TV, major promoters, many chances to get screwed, he had the fight in his pocket after 8 all he had to do was finish and he won. It is not like he was hurt or in danger of being KO'd why couldn't he just keep doing what he was doing. When you generate controversy by running you welcome controversy with judges. In a big fight there is no such thing as a lock and thinking you won is no safe bet. Oscar should have known better. In a super fight you have to put your foot on the gas late it paid dividends for Hopkins many thought he beat Taylor both times just by out hustling him, Juarez in the first Barerrra fight, Andrade vs Bute, Chavez Taylor 1, Abraham Taylor, Froch Taylor, Castillo Corralles 1, some listed may not have won but stole the show or looked very good. Oscar was in the driver seat and stalled. He should not have expected any judges favors especially when fighting a very popular undefeated Tito sure he was winning and had the momentum but nobody should ever gamble a fight like that by running and doing nothing

I think the general concensus was and is that ODLH won the fight, but **** him anyways because of the way he ended the fight. The way ODLH 'fought' the last three rounds of this fight has forever damaged his legacy. The sad thing is that Oscar showed he was on another level from Trinidad entirely, so much better I couldn't believe it. Then he did what he did, and I was so pissed off at him I was throwing **** at my TV set.

Like I said above nothing is guaranteed in boxing. It was not like Tito was going to KO him. He had no reason to run. He should have boxed the last three like he boxed everyother round. In super fights there have been many quirky decisions and pulling what he pulled he really ran the risk of losing

I have never seen good things happen to a guy who runs 3 rounds in a row in a major fight

    First 10 rounds.
    That was a FIXED fight.

    DLH said he was retiring.
DLH was THE BIGGEST $ in sports period. The people in power were loosing their meal ticket. So what do you expect them to do? Trindad was to become the next BIG star.
If DLH HAD won. He would have retired and boxing would have died a bigger death than it did.
So I guess we can thank them in a way.

I had Oscar up 7-1 after 8 rounds, and he won 8-4 after all 12 rounds.
