I personally don't know the details about the GBP split but from what i'm understanding is that Oscar would've been a bit more wise in his approach. If most of the big name fighters are reaching the end of their contracts, imo he should of kept it cool with Richard, slowly participate more with fighters to make his presence felt and wait until most of them resigned, preferably to longer contracts. Then when all thats done, he could've kicked Richard out if he felt so strongly about it. Seems like he lacked a bit of strategy. Shoulda read Sun Tzu's "The Art of War". :hey
Seems more likely that Schaefer and Haymon orchestrated a takeover long in advance. Schaefer provides an avenue for Al's fighters to get dates without contracts, Al signs everyone and their brother, Schaefer leaves, Al can't promote, Schaefer now needs to be released from his contract so he can promote Al's fighters. Will be interesting to see how they go about freeing up Schaefer.
Oh i see what you mean. Oscar ****ed up being outta the business for so long though. He could've done something sooner if he wasn't in rehab all the time.
clearly oscar had a homotional response to kathy duvas bull**** ass lawsuit where she took the opportunity to throw a wrench in the game because she and her company suck at promoting.
