I think Crawford's request to have the fight at 140 was the dealbreaker. It was kind of weird considering that Pacquiao is the man in the position who should be making the demands. I'd rather see Manny vs Crawford than Manny vs Vargas, but it is what it is.

 

Probably. But regarding Crawford, if he really wanted the fight, a barely 50K PPV fighter has some big ***** to make any sort of demands. I think homies is a lil delirious and full of himself especially if he's willing to go to 147 for Cherry Garcia. One might even construe the demand for 140 as a sign that he doesn't want to even let the potential for a fight to marinate.

When did Roach claim that? Just curious how long (Or recent) ago that was.

 

Does it matter? Crawford is in his prime and Pac is past it. It's crazy that Pac is still considered a threat to guys like Crawford, Garcia, Thurman ... That's how good Pac is or how weak the current batch of fighters are. I'm not a huge Pac fan but the guy has earned the right to coast for the remainder of his career IMHO.

And that is besides the point. What is a guy who can barely get 50K have the ***** to make demands of a true PPV star? Pac is the last of the true PPV stars and it's not like these guys grow on trees.

I think arum believes a Pac win against Vargas means it won't be his last fight, so Crawford is still there down the line if arum wants yo cash manny out, and potentially ( hopefully not ) a mayweather rematch

Personally I wish pacquaio ( along with mayweather , cotto ) stop now for good because any fight they have now........bar mayweather moving up and taking on someone like GGG in a huge challenge ........is just a money fight

No. I think manny wants to fight not chase someone for 12 rounds. Its not the fight that i want to see but manny can do what he wants as hes got nothing to prove.

 

I got you. Crawford is in no position to make demands, I agree. Maybe he felt Pac can make 140 and Danny can't, considering that's the weight he currently campaigns at.

I wonder if Pac disputed the weight? I honestly believe Pac (Arum) has been targeting Vargas from the beginning so I don't think anything came from any talks between Pacquiao and Crawford.
