Does any one actually think pac beat a prime DLH, MAB or EM, the first is obvious i dont think DLH even had a pulse in there fight, When pac first met morrales he lost and that wasnt even a peak morrales he had weight issues and had been in far too many wars. morreles loss to raheem backed this up before pac went on to beat him. in 2003 when pac beat barrera i also think the wars had took there toll, and barrera had slowed by this time. after 15 years and over 60 fights he didnt seem to have his old snap, after his wars with morrales, i think he had just fallen of his prime, i think the tapia fight showed this!
he would not beat a prime hoya imo or a prime morales but i preety sure he would get the nod against a prime barrera out of those 3 but it would be as tuff as hell
there is abig issue with these guys primes in relation to there prime weight divisions it wouldnt work mainly hoya obviously
i think where alot of the confusion lies is that MAB and Morales were the best in their divisions when Manny fought them, but they were not in their primes, and that's where pacman gets his credit, who really shouldn't lose any, he did what he was supposed to do to be champion, but will never get the respect because he didn't fight Barrera or Morales at their best which is not really Manny's fault. Either ways, he gets my respect for his fights with JMM. Prime Oscar beats Manny hands down. Manny would of made it exciting, but if Manny would of made it a war or boxing match Oscar would of won both.
Nice i agree and do really like pac. but on this sight i hear it alot that pac beat a prime morrales and barrera!
Prime Moraled beats Pacquiao handedly. And I can't help but to think that a Barrera with the explosiveness and mobility he had against Morales I and Hamed, would take Pacquiao to school by neutralizing his left hand. But by the time Pacquiao face Barrera, Barrera was a lot slower and sluggish. If you compare his fight with Kevin Kelley to his earlier fights, you will understand Barrera was not at his best by any means. Morales had just lost to a past prime Morales, then beat Pacquiao, was schooled by journeyman Raheem, lost twice to Pacquiao and then Diaz. That is proof enough he was WAY past it.
Barrera in the 1st Pac fight was closest to peak with Morales in the 3rd fight (or possibly DLH) being the farthest past their prime.
pacman did beat prime barrera and his best win. barrera was on a string of top level wins, p4p#3 and on the top of his game. he even continued this impressive set of wins after the beating from pac. some people just find it easy to cut mab's prime after he lost to pac. that is hindsight at its best.
You could make an argument Barrera was still in his prime. Erik was well past it. DLH was a mere shell.
Barrera was not the same explosive, fighter with tremendous mobility by the time he fought Pac. Just watch his fights right before Pac, and his fight before and right after the first Morales fight when he was prime.
pac beat a prime barrera. anyone who is saying not is just trying to field an excuse. morales was still good and an elite fighter at 130 when pac beat him. oscar, we don't know yet. we all know that he is past his best. if he comes back to fight and beat hatton, what will people say?
