Pacman just retired two overrated cashcows out of boxing; a lot of money went out of the window at the same time. Discuss.
He did what he had to do. There will always be more money coming into boxing, especailly with GBP and Hatton maybe going into promoting.
When Pacquiao forces a cash cow into retirement he increases his own market value.. it's all a balancing act.
yes but he created another cash cow which is twice as big (himself) I would actually sell my girl friend to see him fight mayweather. ( GF has a great body)
This thread across very disrespectful to Ricky and Oscar. They were finished by the time Manny got there. Overrated at that point in their career yes, but both guys had great careers. Hatton was a mammoth draw over here in UK. If he fights again, it'll be in England, and you can guarantee 10,000s will still be there to support him. He may not be an elite fighter anymore but he's still as loved as ever by most of the British public. Both guys were at the tail end of their careers. Manny put the final stamp on what was there anyway

This is only partly true. English fans won't support Pac as they did Hatton. Same with womans with Hoya. Alot of people were left with no one to cheer on. Good for Pac, bad for the box office.
i agree completely. and also i think that despite pacquiao's rising stardom, he won't ever top de la hoya or mayweather in PPV and in cash earnings.
Hoya is the highest paid boxer ever, so it will be difficult to beat that. But PBF certainly isn't bigger PPV material than Pac. If Manny fights Cotto or Mosley and keeps winning/ koing people, the PPV numbers will explode. Knockouts sell well.:hey
