If so, are they both random drug testing for their upcoming showdown?

No he hasn't. It was just a rumour. Roach said it would be hypocritical of them to do so.

Roach said they were going to until someone tipped him off that Pacquiao would have to undergo the same testing and he then retracting the statement.

Bull****. You really think Roach expected random testing to be applied to Shane only? As slip&counter above has said, Roach's comments were misunderstood and a false rumour was then spread.

No rumor, Freddie Roach was misquoted by Filipino sports journalist Joaquin Henson. Freddie told Henson that they will make sure Shane Mosley gets tested. Henson assumed random blood testing and wrote that in his article. *****s were angered and rejoiced (depending if *******s were to be made fun of) in what they thought was Roach's biggest hypocrisy to date. When Freddie talked to Henson (his good friend as well) Freddie cleared it up by saying "testing... the usual way (NSAC urine testing). If I ask Shane for OSDT, I'd be the biggest hypocrite on the planet"...

    *****s then sad... :|

Team Pacquiao and Team Mosley knows that there's no need to take over the Boxing Commission's job.

As far as I know it was spun. Roach meant the drug tests already in place. The writer spun it as "DRUG TESTS"!

The flip side of that is that for the Clottey fight there were no drug tests and Roach didn't ask for any.

Yeah, kind of how the Boxing Commission completely missed Mosley on his steroid use. Now that Floyd wants something that will actual catch people like Mosley, he's entering the Commission's business? Maybe if the commission actually did their job, somebody else wouldn't have to.
