    GcIII,

at least pinoy fans should know the basics of boxing when having conversations in these forums. otherwise they should go to pacland.

Eh you lose thanks to bad research on this one. Pacquiao was the one who wanted the rematch. It was Nacho Berinstian Marquez's trainer who made the decision not to take the rematch. Go read all the articles you want. He even admitted that he rejected the fight.

Pacquiao wasn't even a star at that point. He made headlines by upsetting Barrera, but didn't become a star until his trilogy with Morales.

It was his best though he was ranked #1 p4p before that fight and had all the accolades he continued to win after pac as well..

It is what you ask if a "prime fighter" like Barrera gets beaten like a scrub.

Here's a good question "Did Barrera ever fight a fighter with Speed and Power like Pacquiao?"

Morales- little power, no speed. Just one tough MFER with great heart.
    Junior Jones-Power yes, speed no
    Paulie Ayala-no power, some speed
    Naseem Hamed-power yes, no speed
