I think Clottey felt enough of the power to make him think that if he was caught with a shot similar to the one that dropped Cotto, me might drop too.

I've always believed that Pac's power at 147 is not as good compared to 130 and below. But the speed and improved shot selection made sure that the power he still had would be fully utilized if was able to land good, quick counter similar to the one's that dropped Hatton, Cotto and Diaz.

And given all the angles and speed that Pac was showing against Clottey, Clottey knew the more he opened up the more likely he would get hit by something like that. This made Clottey throw shots only when he knew he would connect safely, and Pac made sure that this didn't happen very often.

No. Clottey said he did not fell Pacquiao's power in a post fight interview.

I think Pacquiao has the power to KO Clottey. In the first round, when Clottey tried to open up, he was hit by Pacquiao that makes him stumble a little bit. It was shown in the slow mo.

If you saw the actual fight Clottey did a dance to make fun of Pac's "power." He pretended to be wobbled.

i think he is talking about the time clottey's glove nearly touched the canvas.
i think it was a straight over clotteys jab. stunned clottey a bit

    That's because you're an idiot.

On topic, yes he did have the power to KO him and hurt him well late in the fight. Clottey clearly didn't want to open up and exchange because Pacquiao had the power to hurt him, why wouldn't he take the risk in the biggest fight of his life?

He was protecting himself from Pacquiao's speed. He knew Pacquiao was trying to set him up for the counter. These are his words, not my imaginations like those who want to believe that Pacquiao had the power to get rid of him. It doesn't take power alone to get knockouts, it takes precision. Do I think he had the 'power' no. Did he have the speed to catch him with something he didn't see and perhaps hurt him? Yes.

yeah, just like pac's past opponents. As i can recall, Solis even said that his wife (solis) punches harder than pac. Diaz said he could not feel pac's punches, pac was just fukkin fast. ODLH also said that too. These guys either knocked down, knocked out, or simply beat to the punch.

Just looking in between rounds, you could see clottey's face in pain.

Clottey is a hard guy to ko. So I'm not going to down grade Pacquiao for not stoping him.
