I don't think people are giving Pacquiao enough credit. Sure we all expected him to dominate Rios, but can we be disappointed that there wasn't a knockout? Rios, despite eating a lot of shots, is a very hard man for anyone to knock out. Secondly, many of us expected Manny to win most rounds, but i'm not sure how many expected a complete shutout of every round. I thought it was the best outcome for this fight, so yes he impressed me.

SARCASM He was as boring as Rigo in there. Why did he keep running? /SARCASM

Other than it being an obvious mismatch against a slow opponent that's the kind of boxing I like to see. I expected a mismatch but not in that manner. I don't care much that he didn't get the KO. He looked pretty good considering.

Expectations for pacquiao are ridiculous. Pac was masterful and showed beautiful boxing. I think he fought a near perfect and measured fight as someone who was coming off a KO loss and against a tough SOB

actually, i expected pacquiao to have some rough moments in there, starting about the 3rd or 4th round.. didn't happen.

Cant expect a ko win all the time, pac from now on will fight smart. He boxed rios beautifully after 1 year lay off and the ko he suffered from marquez.

He did what he was suppose to do, beat a punching bag. Not impressed nor disliked, he was an easy fight like it was supposed to be :smoke

I was reasonably impressed given that he was coming off a crushing KO loss and hadn't fought in a number of months.

No. Thurman is just as fast, has better footwork, more powerful, and has higher ring IQ to top it off. More like Manny would get wrecked in 6.

Your making excuses for Roach's bad behavior, Robert did not ,cus or call Roach out of his name. But because Robert didn't jump for Roach, Roach thought his demeanor was totally appropriate so he flew off the handle :patsch

Anywhere in the streets that attitude would have gotten your head knocked off. Robert gave his reason, Roach should have worked something out due to the circumstances and moved on, but instead chose to be the tuff guy and got the following

those ninja moment will get you kicked in your chest !!! LOL Also this is the edit version that not what happened .. Roach came over and started talking ****.

No he didn't for a FOTD and supposedly best fighter. His in fighting is still **** as seen in the early rounds before Rios became punch drunk and the ref was quicker to break up clinches. He still has very stupid tendacies like how he avoids counter shots when moving to his right. That **** just looks good against Rios who has no timing, accuracy or any kind of his speed to take advantage of Manny's bad habits. This fight was just a confidence boost at best and people shouldn't read too much into as far as measuring if Manny is indeed back or not.

What exactly was "my" excuse? "You're" justifying Robert intentionally overstaying in that gym. He knew their time was up and Freddy was waiting. Robert's excuse was he had an interview that's why they're overstaying. Was it Freddy's fault that they had an interview?

That's like you owing the bank some money and you expect someone else to pay your loan. Ridiculous.

    Yes, Manny impressed me.

He did exactly what it looked like he planned to do. At no time in the fight did he get sluggish, he kept himself at range and knew where and when to execute his flurries, his foot work was good and he even had the sportsmanship to allow Rios to cruise the 12th round.

Im not saying he would have KO'd Rio's in the 12th but for the last 1:30 Manny literally tapped Brandon with punches. He wanted Rio's to finish the fight and show that he respected his heart.

One thing i did notice was he was tentative to feint. I was quite happy about that though as the last thing i wanted to see was Manny KTFO again.

So yes, Manny did impress last night.
