I don't understand why people like to keep bringing up Marquez with Pac as a way to discredit Pac even though this was a rivalry between 2 ATG fighters.
It's really subjective. The first 3 fights could have gone either way, with the 3rd fight being the best case for JMM. People like to over exaggerate the robbery notion but in the end they were all close fights and Pac was able to get the nod, whether you like it or not. Pac was able to beat the absolute best JMM in a close fight and deserves credit. I also applaud JMM for finishing the last fight on a high note.
People can also make the case with Ali losing all 3 fights with Norton.

Murad was just a bad matchmaker, or rather he just went ahead and made the fight that was easiest for him to make even if the choice of opponent wasn't the wisest choice for his fighter.
For example, after Pacquiao beat MAB the first time, Murad's first move was having Pac fight Marquez. Freddie Roach was livid on the choice of opponent and stated, "Marquez is the last opponent I'd want Manny to fight. He's the best featherweight of the bunch and it brings Manny the least money."
Roach listed several fighters he'd have Manny fight before it got to the point he'd match him with Marquez. "I'd have Marquez dead last for Manny to fight." stated Freddie Roach.
......and darn if he wasn't dead right!!!

Watch the last two minutes of round 6. It paints a picture of Marquez having recovered from getting stunned badly in round 5.
These were two WARRIORS in the absolute most supreme shape which meant either was capable of recovering after getting stunned and hurt with shots.

Contrary to the belief of many, Juan Manuel Marquez was not ready to go.
Pacquiao was not putting the finishing touches on Marquez when he got short circuited out of there.
Watch the last two minutes of the round without sound here. Marquez looks fully recovered and laying it on Pacquiao. Winning the last couple of minutes of the round right to the point he set up the right hand bomb counter that put Pacquiao's light out.

Marquez was recovered and the fight was up for grabs still when it happened.

Only fight that Pac can argue about is the second and that fight can still be more easily argued for Marquez.

And the notion that Marquez was clearing losing fight 4 right before KTFO6 is laughable.

JMM was always a live dog in this fight no matter how much punishment he was absorbing. He definitely wasn't ready to go in round 6. He was just losing the round and PAC was over aggressive trying to close out the round emphatically.

I agree both men were in tremendous shape for this one and without question are warriors. The irony was PAC had sustained more success offensively over Juan than any of the other fights between these two, outside of the 1st couple of rounds of their 1st fight....yet JMM put a stamp on the rivalry with an absolutely crushing knockout

A case can be made for Pac winning the 2nd fight. All the rest, he lost IMO.

Agreed that Pacquiao was having more success offensively than any of the previous 3 fights, but that imo is mainly due to Marquez' gameplan of being more explosive and loading up more on his shots. Pac fans don't like admitting to it, but Pacquiao becoming more consistent in landing cleaner shots than in his previous fights with Marquez was directly due to Marquez commiting more to his shots as team Marquez going into it made no secret they were looking to possibly seek a knockout if the opportunity presented itself. The video leadup's to the fight showed Marquez practicing with his sparring partners in landing that right hand with more force.

Had Marquez planned and trained to outbox Pacquiao as he had done previously, the fight would have gone exactly as it did in fight 3 where Marquez thoroughly outboxed Pacquiao without getting hit with that many hard clean shots.

Looking forward to watching the 5th fight since they both won 2 out of 4 fights.

    Marquez won all of them.
