Margarito was actually ranked by the WBC in the jrMW division before this second negotiations fiasco went about. I think he was in the top 3. So for him to get a shot by the WBC isn't really surprising. They love giving Mexicans title shots. It's Sulaiman's thing. And they love having Pacquiao fight for their titles, no matter if he immediately drops it.

Maybe but I don't think so. Everytime Pacs been doubted in his career he's produced, he takes the fights no one thinks he would.

Williams would be the pinacle to Pacs career, the kind of fight that a fighter who's worked his way up the ranks bows out on. If Williams gets himself a title or two the fight could happen but right now he has nothing to offer, zero, no title, no money.

 

No. It's about money. Margarito will generate more money for Pacman than PW, who is an unknown outside of the boxing world.
