He fought to survive. He had no clue how to hurt AJ. He won two or three rounds with some good shots at the inside but that's it. Overall you can say Parker deserves respect for his performance because he fought the best HW out there and survived 12 rounds but still he was not able to pressure AJ in any way.
The ***** bodybuilder was doing the stanky leg every round Parker won that in 2nd gear Wilder and Fury absolutely embarrass this robot
AJ wanted to go Triple G on Parker but didn't like what was coming back and/or was too chicken to risk it. Now I want to see Wilder kAJtfo.
He was content to survive once it got to the later rounds. I expected him to have some success in the mid rounds but would be taking shots to do so. In those final rounds he had a choice, go for broke and try and force it and risk being KO'ed to win or sit back and allow the fight to continue and slip from his grasp. He did the latter.
He probably could have tried throwing more earlier. But he was smaller and had less power. He had no other choice but to fight smaller like how he did. Joshua failed more than Parker failed to me.
That's how Joe always fights his big fights... Go watch the Takam fight and the second half of the Ruiz fight. This is just how Parker fights.
Parker is dangerous with his hooks. Why should a champion risk his legacy when be is already up on the cards? Parker is the one to blame for not starting a war in the late rounds...
Even though the fight went as I expected, I'm a little dissappointed in Joe's performance. I think he was effected by the hype AJ got, and was too happy with his own work in the mid rounds to have any sense of urgency later on. Kudos to AJ for adjusting well for the championship rounds, but I don't think Parker's ceiling is all that lower than his.
