Did Parker REALLY dominate without the knockdowns?

Chisora's work was mostly on the gloves or below the belt. I don't recall more than a handful of shots he landed clean the whole fight. The few rounds where he outworked Parker he was getting hit and hurt. Just no real clear rounds for him barring one or two, and a ton of clear rounds for Parker.

When I say ability, I include mentality as a factor. I'm disregarding names in the W column of his CV as a factor because a fighter like Hrgovic would have no chance on that basis but in reality would dominate Parker because his ability is far greater.

I also haven't seen any evidence Mak has enough chin to last against a live body.

He's got a decent chin. Can be hurt, but can also take a shot and come back. Watch some of his WSB fights, especially Nistor.

Foster was just about to step in and stop it, can't recall the round, but wouldn't shock me if our 114-112 guy saw that as a Del round for him throwing a few shots at the end of it to ward off Foster. Any excuse basically.

That's rather disingenuous. Their records reflect ability, so on that basis Hrgovic has about as much ability as his opponent reflects. Until he actually steps up a few paces and fights world level opponents it's too early to say that Hrgovic is anything special.

I saw a comment on an article about this saying the knockdown rounds should have all been scored 10-9 as Chisora came back well from them. I couldn't disagree more. 10-8 is a reward for earning the knockdown and the fight with the knockdown needs to be taking massive amounts of punishment to bring it back to 10-9 IMO. Parker wasn't even wobbled in any of those exchanges.

A good example is AJ vs Wlad. After Wlad was put down in the 5th but absolutely dominated and had AJ significantly hurt over the second half of the round. That's an example where I think you could go 10-9, but I'd still go 10-8.

I'm a Chisora fan but anything other than a Parker win is ludicrous. Parker won very clearly.

You're reaching imo. Great entertaining fight. Chisora showed great heart and was in the fight nearly every round, but he lost most of them with or without the KDs.

People are really arguing for a Chisora victory after dude was badly hurt and dropped throughout the fight?
He was an absolute warrior and showed a ton of heart, but come on he got worked over.

Chisora always makes a fight seem closer than it is, he pushes forwards and throws wild punches. He’s not landing anything or anything clean at least, but it’s eye catching if you’re not watching closely. Parker won by a long way, he was landing punches. Usyk also beat Chisora easily in that fight and apparently some think that was close as well.
