Did past heavyweight champs like Tyson, Ali, Lewis get special treatment from WBC like Wilder has?

Cuz I have never seen such a sanctioning body (like the WBC) pull so many strings for Wilder. I'm just curious if past champions had received such treatment from the WBC or other sanctioning bodies as well?

No although We Be a Calamity don't restrict protectionism to Wilder. Canelo was protected for a while and they have long protected Adonis Chickenson.

Basically they're a farce of an organisation, only out shone by We Be Atrocious with their poundland trinket "regular" titles.

Oscar and Floyd weren't expected to fight mandatories--It wasn't even an issue for them. They could keep the belt and fight whoever they liked. Which actually worked as a fan, as Oscar fought in some major fights, without the distraction of having to obey rules. It worked by accident and star power , not design or good governing.

Fury is getting put to sleep by the powerful fist of Wilder and the WBC or whatever belt you keep crying about will have nothing to do with it. LOL Say nite nite!
