Did Paulie Malignaggi almost call Broner the n word here?

He does kind of look like a ninja turtle though...

 

Paulie is from the East Coast and a general street fast talker. I don't doubt he uses it.

The being said, I don't think he did in this instance.

 

I had the pleasure of meeting ray Mancini today. Probably the nicest fighter I ever met. He might be a little bias because he's a good friend of Paulie. He said Paulie has a style to give broner some problems. But I want to make it clear he didn't say Paulie is going to win before ppl say Mancini is delisional.

I just can't see PM winning this one. PM will have to put on one hell of a show to pull this one off. Impossible no, improbable yes.

 

I'd bet money Paulie says the N word all the time. He's a wannabe. I think Broner is a talented, but flawed prospect. If he has any trouble at all with a C class guy like Malinaggi,I will be stunned.

 

Nah, he was just unfortunate to stumble over a word that sounds as if you're about to say the N-word. If you listen carefully, he actually says "ninj.." before his tongue gets tied up. Not "ni..." or "nig...", but "ninj...". That indicates to be that he genuinely was looking to say "ninja turtle".

 

He probably does use the N word in private, while listening to rap music. Who cares?

It's not like he grew up in the suburbs. It does not make someone racist to use the N word in the right context, in the wrong context by the wrong person and yeah it's racist.

 

Some people like race baiting and are always looking for any hint of racism in speech so they can censor everyone.

 

I see Paulie winning. The only reason I'm not sure is his lack of power. If he had power I would know for sure he's far superior in boxing class and would put on a clinic. It all depends on if he can hurt Broner, if he can then he wins.
