Did Pavlik just call Calzaghe a nobody...

    until he fought Hopkins?? Way to play down a Pound for Pound great fighter. You can tell from Pavlik that he and his camp want no part of Calzaghe. The guy is good, but he's only beaten very limited fighters in Miranda, Taylor, and this recent punching bag he fought. I'm not sold on him yet.

    Never heard him call Cal a nobody, and it sounds very out of character for Pav to trash talk.

    His reference was to Calzaghe being a nobody to people in the United States, as in the mass audience, which he was until he got beat by Hopkins...ooopsss I mean got a lame decision victory.

    he said there are no big names out there. there are fighters in europe and uk like calzaghe/hopkins and calzaghe was not known till the hopkins fight.

    He said people weren't aware of him, which is spot on. Calzaghe may have been a great fighter, but he certainly wasn't famous outside of the hardcore fans and Europeans.
