He would have to be seriously considered for that spot depending on who Pacquiao fights after Santos. But yeah, a case could be made.

calzaghe looked on the way down against hopkins. He should stay away from pavlik and retire. I cant see him beating pavlik, but we dont know how powerful pavlik would be at super middle. that could be the deciding factor. Its either Pavlik by KO or calzaghe by decision.

Hopkins was all wrong for Calzaghe. Pavlik relies on his jab much more and is much less of a counterpuncher.

its really a completely different fight.

smarter based on his ability to adjust in fights. you know sweet fa if you think pav is a smarter fighter than calzaghe. :-:)-(

Surely all american fight fans know that joe is a smarter fighter than kelly for foook sake, this is bordering on the ridiculous.

i agree, Calzaghe isn't super popular in America, and they need hype for this fight. Kelly's power and variety was more than happy to oblige. i'm really looking forward to the fight.

Joe is already past his best but he'd beat Pav with relative ease imo.

As for no one being aware of Joe before B-Hop.....utter BS, I have had many a debate over JC with Americans on several boxing forums years ago. Perhaps he meant the US thought JC was **** until he proved them wrong by beating their top guys lol

Enzo will be retired before Pavlik gets to that weight .. because he is mediocre or if he's still fighting it will be against some handpicked ice rink comp .. but if they signed tomorrow and Pavlik had the smallest amount of time to put the weight on .. he'd knock Enzo TFO .. not because KP would be good at that weight but because Enzo isn't all that ...
