Did Pavlik's trainer panic too early when the going got tough? I think so...

Not only did they talk the wrong game plan on 24/7, but when it was as early as round 2...Loew was panicking. Now didn't Loew say he expected Hop to be in the fight as late as the 6th round, and then Pavlik would take over? He is telling Pav to double his jab, and telling him he isn't working. Is that bad advice against Hop? Of course it is. He isn't telling him to just try to land on the chest or body of Hop with the double jab or to keep your hands up or feint. Loew just keeps on panicking. There isn't a trainer in this world who could've helped Pav that night. I didn't think Pav had the talent to beat Hop, but I didn't expect his trainer to panic so early in the fight. What do you guys think?

Before the fight they spoke about a,b,c game plans
but I guess by different game plans they actually meant the number Pavlik's combinations

truly a **** trainer, he made Pavlik to do the same thing and thats the thing Hopkins was expecting.

Big time...It was ridiculous. Jack was panicking because he never came up with a "plan B" for Pavlik. He was way too confident that his fighter would easily win.

"We’re not dumb enough to just walk straight at him and throw one-twos down the middle".

"We’ve got a whole lot more plans for Bernard Hopkins than they realize".

"Kelly is prepared to fight Hopkins from the inside".

"Calzaghe is not a dumb guy. He's fighting Roy Jones instead of Kelly for a reason...self preservation".

Conclusion: Loew is a complete *******.

hopkins exact words before the fight were as soon as a fighter is surprised or in trouble in a fight they revert back to what they know and what they can do. that was certainly the case saturday there was no other game plan

loew sucks, pavlik coulda stopped being so predictable and try to use his range and well double the jab instead of trying to land the predictable 1 2 and getting caught with powershots

Well, to be fair, that's true. Pavlik just walked straight at him and didn't throw anything instead.

Yeah I kinda thought he panicked a bit. Loew calmed down later in the fight, but he kept telling Pav to double jab, and this is against Hopkins lol. It's as if they didn't work on feinting his way in and all fighters learn feints, or jabbing to the body. Loew just kept saying double jab, double jab. A double jab works, but if you miss one or both jabs, you are left open, and that is how Hop countered Pav. Imo what PAv should've kept doing was feint Hop and just keep throwing 1,2's. Like I said, he could not do anything to win, but he wouldn't have looked that bad imo.

It's becasue "they had much more plans for Hopkins than people realized".

    Good points.

  12. Lowe and Pavlik were over confident and it showed, Pavlik should think strongly about hiring a Manny Steward, or Fred Roach type trainer who can help further his career..
