Quintana schooled him that night. Great footwork and fast counters.

The second fight means **** all, Williams didn't 'figure out his style', he just went in early and caught him.

It wasn't an off night. Off-night is kind of a bad excuse in boxing. How could you tell from outside he had an off-night? It's also an excuse Quintana could use based on the 2nd fight, saying he still won the 1st fight by schooling and winning more rounds in 2 fights. Quintana fought an excellent fight showing great skills, then was caught early in the rematch. Yes, he showed a way to beat PW, but it's a blueprint just a few fighters can follow (Santos, Dzinziruk, in-shape Winky). Others would make their own blueprint (Cotto, Mosley, Abraham, Sturm, Mundine).

I agree. Williams looked flat. His physique wasnt that sharp that night , either. Did not look like he trained properly for that fight. He did not look physically strong and then proceeded to follow Quintana around the ring

throwing arm punches. Even then he had Quintana exhausted.

I dont believe that at all. Firstly , the footwork was good for a while but Quintana was exhausted and that "great" footwork got very sloppy.

secondly, he did not just go in early to catch him. He waited and baited Quintana into coming to him . Quintana was on a bike the first fight. He made Quintana expose himself by reaching in and Willimas sat on a counter and hurt him.

yall act like having an off day is an impossible thing...

    tiger had off days

not to compare pw to them

but who's to say your not allowed to have a bad day... **** was obvious

Q beat PW for 12 rounds I wont call that lucky or PW being flat. He just got beat thats all. Give Q some credit for that win instead of bashing it with PW being flat or unfocused.

Its hard for me to believe he was unfocused when he was seeking big money fights with Cotto, Floyd and a rematch with Margo. Taking a fight lightly would cost a fighter big money, which in PW's case was what happened.

Wrong Mike Tyson is known for not being able to fight backwards, Holyfield, Douglas, Lewis, Botha (had some luck) they all exploited this weakness.

Yes styles do make fights, but also there is a gameplan that can also decide how the fight plays out, and Quintana had the right game plan for Williams.
